"some things will be made clear, here soon."

Or not. A very odd AU, but an interesting one. Wish it had gotten further off the ground.

Shout out for Bukowski!  Not your typical story but I'm liking it!

Oh this is great, and so not what I was expecting. You've got a lot in here - the inherent trouble in their relationship with him unable to just *talk* to her about his feelings, Jim's personal pain and the bombshell at the end that let's us know why. Very interesting so far...

Oh no!  This is so sad for Jim. Karen must feel awful for what she said and how she acted.  Please update soon.

Author's Response: i'm heading on a roadtrip this weekend, so, chances are it won't be for a few days, but when i do, things will get more interesting.  respect.

Oh, WOW.  Your twist ... so perfect.  Things like that can happen when you least expect them.

I love how Karen reacts; she's going to feel like crap after hearing Jim's last line.  Like he doesn't have enough to worry about with his Dad dying, and she's immediately sulky and swearing at him.

Ooh, I am interested in reading more.
