This came up as a Story of the Moment and I'm very glad I clicked! I'm trying to help out other mods in building recommendation lists especially for fics that take place during or close to episode, and I think this will end up in my Booze Cruise recommendations (in the mature section ;) ) Very angsty, a little dark, very hot and actually plausible (if the Office was not a network sitcom of course).

Although I loved the angsty erotica (I hate to call such beautifully hot sex smut!), I thought the ending was promising - "... and the lights on the horizon seem just a little bit brighter."

Love the intensity of this - like all the repressed feeling/desire between them finally just explodes in one crazy moment. So hot, but quite sad too - the end of something that never really was, with Jim's left even more lost in it than ever. Great line: There's a brief instant where you almost tell her. That she's your world and you want to be hers and will she please just. Really powerful - and not just in terms of the smut (though that was especially effective!)
