I (re)saw LtW last night, and me and my friend were talking and giggling the entire way through. Was quite fun in fact.

Anyways, my one request is that you don't die trying. Because, um, that wouldn't be cool. So, just, get near death trying. Or ya know, stay as sane as possible, and keep up with real life and all that other trying to live a somewhat normal life or something. So die. Whichever.

I stuck the waitress in there because when I reread the story a few weeks ago, I realized that in addition to letters, the other theme of this story is the idea that it takes a lot of outside people to get Jim and Pam together. It started with Marsha and then there were all the people on the treasure hunt and stuff. Basically I just wanted to have one last person give them the final nudge.
Well, for part of those 16 minutes they were eating, so that probably helped fill the void a little bit...maybe...
I fixed that quote mark, thanks for the heads-up!
I didn't even think about the yes in The Return, but I like that you thought of it! Now I'm going to consider those as parallel moments.
I'm so glad you got a friend to go with you LtW! I still haven't found anyone, and at this rate I'm thinking I might as well wait until it comes to the dollar theater we have here. It shows movies a few months after they come out in theaters and only costs a dollar! It's basically the best invention ever! But yeah, the fact that I know there's some awesome JK in it, but I'm still willing to meet clearly shows that I don't have my hussy priorities straight. Oh well.
Refrigerator organization is VERY important. In fact, that's what I plan to do with all my new boyfriends from now on. Thanks for the suggestion! Besides, this did start out with a cleaning lady, so now it's come full circle.
Well, I really don't think death is that imminent, but I'll let you know if I feel it coming closer. Keep in mind that I also posted that at like 2 am, and I think I'd woken up at 5 that morning. I love my life. And I can't decide if that's a sarcastic sentence or not. Probably both. :)

And yes, communication is important in all relationships, so I think it's safe to say that Jim and Pam will make "communicating" in your second sense of the word a big priority in the very near future. Just don't expect to see it in the actual story because I'm not really that kind of girl.

Aww, that last moment is so sweet and calm. You set the scene at the restuarant really well. I also like that up until this point, their feelings have all been written since Jim decided on his treasuer hunt method. Anyway - very cool touch.

I can't remember if I have reviewed this story or not, but I know that I had started reading it when it was still only a few chapters in, and then lost it.
I have to tell you that to me, a good story immediately pulls me out of my reality and into the story, where it seems that I'm living in it as a secondary character who is never mentioned. This story has done just that. Your writing style is beautiful, and GAH! You had Jim kiss her gently on the neck, which just melts me! This is wonderful,and I wish I could give you an "11" rating.

Pam felt like she was finally back where she belonged. What a nice echo of Pam wishing Jim would come back in "Beach Games"! I love this chapter- Pam's growing impatience, and how Jim anticipates that in his letters. And then kissing! Woo! Very, very nice.
Author's Response: One of the weird things about this story now is that I started it after Cocktails and set it in some undetermined time in the middle of season 3, so I don't get to have all the FNB stuff from the end of the season. But I guess I do, sort of, it's just shown in different ways. I know that isn't exactly what you meant, but it just reminded me of it. Thanks for the review!

I think its such a good little detail that Pam never wanted to see the office dark after Jim left. Its so small, but realistic and stuff.
Ice Skating! Okay, so I will admit it was my first episode I ever saw, and I have aways thought ice skating was so romantic even though the only time i went I went with a friend, and I will also say I have had an idea floating around my head for ice skating take dos (for some reason i always say dos instead of two), so, yay for it being in your fic!
So, in a way, (did I tell you this stoy already... if so, fastforward on the review), so one of my classmates got engaged this past semester. she woke up or something and found a little note. and it told her to go somewhere. and there was a cd and music and notes and it sort of went like this as a little scavenger hunt until h was there with the ring. she said yes.
That kiss.... gah, my heart stopped. See, this is probably why I shouldn't read smut. If a simple kiss nearly kills me... what will more do!
No... don't talk about the end. ladeda, the end doesn't exists. No. It doesn't. I will live off in fantasy land where both Jim AND John are my boyfriends and GCL never ends and um... other good stuff happens.
Or I can live in real life land and go ge ready for LtW - leaving in 30 minutes, holy crap!

The first episode I ever saw was Take Your Daughter to Work Day! I remember it so well. I had no idea who all the characters were and I think I only saw the last half, but I was so smitten. I've never looked back. I've never really thought of ice skating as romantic just because there were so many times when I was little that we went and all I ever did was fall down. It was quite sad.
That's so cool that your roommate's fiance actually did this in real life. I've never met someone who would do something like this, but if I did, I'd totally say yes, just because you've gotta get points for something this elaborate.
Just a warning now, there will be more kissing in the next chapter. Not much more than kissing though, so don't worry. I'll leave the smutty stuff to someone else.
Yay for fantasy lands! I hate it when I get so distracted by fanfic that I realize it's like 7:35, class starts at 8:00, my hair's a mess, I'm still in my pajamas, I haven't put on any make-up, or packed up my backpack, or eaten breakfast and it's gonna take at least 15 minutes to drive over to campus and then walk to class. Ugh. At that point I'll admit I'm always sorely tempted to just skip class and read/write instead. But I don't. Usually.

Author's Response: I've never actually been on a love treasure hunt, but I've got lots of experience with the birthday kind. We used to have one for the last big present on every birthday. My dad was amazingly good at coming up with clues. They usually rhymed and everything. Anyway, I'm glad you liked it, and I'm really excited for them too!
