So I know this will probably never go any further, but that lime makes me feel like I should at least ask for it to. Because this is a great AU concept and the first three chapters do a good job of building suspense and introducing the characters. I'd really love more.

Ooh, I think I remember reading this from before. I'd forgotten about it, but I'm glad you decided to continue. This is such a cool concept - I love noir, and I love how you're still making things fit with the Office'verse.

hey, what a great idea for a story! very intirguing. i like mystery-type things. and we don't have a whole lotta those here. i like the old-fashioned feel behind the writing. very cool. it's been a while since you've updated. i hope you don't give up on it!

Loved this story two minutes into reading the first chapter because it's just that kind of story that makes you smile and think at the same time, and I love imagining the story in my head because this story is old-fashioned and everything and I've always loved movies like those, for some reason.
Plus, Detective!Jim is very drool-worthy. I love the character you've sketched out for him, true to the show but still so very detective-y. Ack. And I thought I couldn't love him more.
Curse the existance of Roy, still, though. Grrr. Although I like where you're going with this - Leslie has obviously had something to do with him...hmmm.
I love it so far. Can't wait for more, so please write more!

I love this fic!
I'm just going to warn you now that that's how every one of my reviews will probably start. Billy Stamford! Ahhh... I like how you use the characters we know, but they're not OUR characters - Kevin the dispatcher doesn't seem a lot like Kevin the accountant, and I think it's great. I like seeing how they could be given other circumstances and I can't wait to run into the others!!
Also, this mystery has me totally hooked. You're amazing.
