Wow:

Karen looked down to fiddle with the napkin on her lap. She cleared her throat before saying, “I’ve scheduled an appointment three weeks from today. Just in case.”

Jim’s head spun. How could they try to make things work with an ultimatum like that hanging over their heads? But he found himself nodding along. “Okay,” he said hoarsely. “Okay.”

No kidding--that's one heck of an ultimatum!

Oh my!  Well, let's just see what Karen has to say, shall we?

Hmmmm...  I hope there's still hope for Jim.  And I hope he's not just a complete bastage and dumps Karen even though she's pregnant with his baby.  Because that would be very un-Jim of Jim.  :(

Karen, you dirty biznatch!  Sigh.  I like Karen for realsies, but she needs to seriously not pull crap like that.  Grrrrrrr.  But I know you'll turn it around somehow...not sure how, but I'll just have to have faith.  :)

Holy crap!  Who would take that advice from Kelly????  That's just evil!

Can't wait to see where you go with this, definitely an interesting idea!

I agree with Jim - how are they going to make things work with that ultimatum over their heads. Talk about pressure.  Anxious to see where you go with this.

Yes, you have readers.

This is really interesting to me.  It's something that can happen; if it did, what would they do?  Of course, Karen would have to be an idiot to take Kelly's advice, but maybe she doesn't ask herself "would an idiot do that?" (/Dwight) before doing something.

Jim's "I'd be lucky to have you" speech was such total crap; I'm glad you had Karen see through it and not accept it, plus conveyed so well that he was dying inside just saying it.  Sadly, on the real show, Karen would probably say "oh, good, let's shop for rings tomorrow!"  Ugh.

I'm definitely interested to see where this goes.  When you update, I will read.

I love Jim's reaction about taking relationship advice from Kelly, as well as his reaction to it being his "fault" also!  Where will you go with this?  I will wait and see!

Hum, saying right off that you hate the idea... there is an interesting start.
This line...as an added bonus, she had never broken his heart and left him to rebuild his shattered life in a place two and a half hours away... I am not sure quite why I love it, but I do. Its not funny, its not really sad, its just... I guess since it is just suc a simple fact, phrased in a good way.
SHE'S PREGNANT!!!! *throws things at you* Okay, honestly, I suspected it for like, three lines. But then reading it... damn, that throws a wrench in Jim's plans.
WHAT. And then it ends. I had only scrolled enough for that line, so I couldn't tell it ended. And then I scrolled more... and... WHAT!

AND KELLY!?!?! WHAT! Okay, so as much as I hate the idea (same as you), I really want this to continue. I don't think I have read anything like this, so, I really want to read more... gah!

-begins to hyperventilate-

That. Freaking. Witch.

I really knew this would happen in a fic, but NOOO! Evil Karen. Evil Kelly for giving Evil Karen advice.

Oh my god, if this happened on the show I would cry so much.  Seriously.  But I liked this for a story idea.  Continue please. ;)

HAHAHA!  No hate here; keep going.  Now, if this happened on the real show, I'd probably stop watching for the soap-opera-ness!  In a fanfic... go for it!

I really enjoy that Jim was finally going to grow a pair and get out of this ridiculous fake relationship when he's blind-sided by this.  And the fact that it was Kelly's advice just makes it funnier.

Bring on the suds.  How the heck will Jim get out of this?

I don't hate you. I hate Karen in this. Well I normally dislike her. So yeah, hate her now.

Somehow I knew this was coming in a fic sooner rather than later

Oh, goodness!  "Followed Kelly's advice" . . . that's not comforting to hear!  Please keep going--I'm really enjoying this and would love to see where you're taking it.
