All of your stories have an air of poetry to them. Beautiful. I love your depictions of both Jim and Pam, but Jim is totally spot-on.

I've always liked this take on Pam's relationship with her father - it seems to be a far stronger explanation for why she sticks with Roy than the plucked-out-of-high-school-obscurity-and-never-really-got-over-it theory.

Not too dramatic, but I don't like a Jim who has decided to stop caring about Pam. Makes him a bit of a dick (even though I know where the story goes).

I love this as an approach to opening this story. It is entirely necessary and yet more of an opening coda than a real story element. Nice work.

Wow. That love scene was so beautiful that it seemed sacred.

This was quite lovely. Even though Pam's father dying is not canon, and I don't usually like the coming to the rescue because of a tragedy type stories, this was well executed. I think The Office erred in not giving us the moment when Pam and Jim came together, not the smut, but rather the culmination of three seasons of angst. They took something away from us by making it a done deal by season 4, depriving us of that crescendo and peak of them expressing their sorrow for lost time and their love for each other. This story filled that nicely, with the expression of Jim and Pam so IC and well written. Thank you.

I just discovered this story-- I'm enjoying it so much. It's so well written and doesn't shy away from emotion. Wonderful work. I know I'm late to the party on this one, but I really hope you write more.

There are some great stories on this site, but this is above and beyond. Ethereal, transcendent, staggering, profound... it's so beautiful it's deliciously painful. I didn't even feel like I was reading something; it's more like I was infused into it. There is perfect characterization and gorgeous imagery. This is a molten archetype of the immortal yin/yang, masculine/feminine ideal, crystallized into English. Can two humans love each other better than J&P at the end here? You should seriously be publishing novels with this skill level.

I have just finished this powerful (and yes EPIC) story and I was blown away. So much emotional truth (corny, but I can't think of a better way to describe it). You have a way of taking this well-loved characters out of the screen and giving them life. Thanks for sharing.

I found this last night and read until about 1:30 before I had to put it down (not out of lack of interest, but out of knowing I'd be useless today without my sleep). So, what did I do this morning, but pick it back up first thing to finish. What an amazing story. I am in awe of your ability to put the reader "there" in the moment. There are so many good lines/passages, my review would be as long as your story if I named them all, but the couple of chapters at the end when Jim bares his soul sitting at her bedside and then again when he's so overwhelmed by emotion and he tells her she "owns" him.... OMG, it couldn't have been written better. Just beautiful. I've printed this one to keep!

i adore the diction and introduction in this chapter...it explains a lot about why pam is stays with roy for ten years, and why she feels guilty but curious about a relationship with jim.

Author's Response: Thank you! This chapter was one of the things that started humming in my mind when I was away from my computer and I liked the feel of the words so much that I scribbled them down by hand.  Glad you enjoyed it.

"He was wrapped around her, and she was…god, she was inside of him…she was deep inside of him like his lungs…like his heart."

I'm pretty sure it's your mission to make me cry. I swear! Another beautiful story, of course. That line reminds me of everything I've ever felt with my boyfriend but couldn't express in words. In fact, most of the wonderful lines you write are all the things I want to say to him but somehow can't. I think I just found my script!

Author's Response: lol not gonna lie...it is a little bit my mission to make you cry, yes.  Glad I could write you a script ;-)

This was such an amazing piece of literature.  For that is what it was:  literature.  Don’t ever let anyone use the term “fan fic” as an insult because this was, quite simply, more than that.  Honestly, with very few changes you could (and should) submit this for publication in any good short story anthology.  I was enthralled the whole way through.  I’m finding it difficult to encapsulate my impressions because there were so many broad strokes and fine details that were just spot on.  One thing that particularly stood out:  the common thread of Jim’s maleness and Pam’s femaleness and how they experience that in each other and in themselves.  You’ve created a wonderful story, filled with warmth and pain and different from anything else I’ve read on this site.  It was beautiful.

Author's Response: thank you so much.  your review gave me chills.  I'm so glad you thought so highly of it! It was quite a journey for me and I loved writing it so much.

Wow.  I so much enjoy your writing!  Such good command of imagery and style.  I love things like:

She reveled in the way he closed his eyes when she touched him, like all of his five senses couldn’t handle the battle he was waging and he was forced to succumb and give one of them up.

Good pacing, really gripping story, fine characterization.

 Just.  Wow.

Author's Response:

Thanks!!! I actually wrote that one sentence that you quoted like right at the very beginning because it was just floating around in my head, so I wrote it down and saved it for the last chapter ;-)

Anyway, thanks for the review and the amazing compliments.
