The anticipation you have built here it great> i"m adding this to my faves so i can remember to read the updates! I agree with the way you portray Jim as a combo of angry/hurt/annoyed with his whole situation yet considers himself powerless to change any of it. So true! What an awesome idea. I imagine Jim almost choking when Karen held up that periwinkle dress.
Favorite line in this chapter: Jim just can't figure how come the guy who went to Casino Night number one (though, admittedly, not the guy who left) had seemed so much happier. Yeah, Jim, we're hoping you'll notice that soon .
Also this too: He'd forgotten how this worked. She'd ask him to pick between two outfits; he'd say he liked them both; she'd wear whatever she'd intended to in the first place. Gotta think that Pam wouldn't play those mind games. (Damn, I'm such a single-minded shipper!)
Can't wait to see how far all that 'determination' on both Jim and Pam's parts gets them once the festivities begin.
