Oh, Maybe Once, this is wonderful!!!  I love Pam's inner thoughts against what she's actually saying.

And, damned straight it's a date!  Yeehaw!

I loved reading Pam's thoughts in between what she was saying - so perfectly done.  Especially -

"Yes.   What did he say?  Dinner?   What kind of dinner?   Is this a goodbye?   Is this us, catching up on being friends?   Is this....no, I can't think......  What did I just say yes to?  .... It doesn't matter.

It's YES to anything.

It's YES to everything."

This is going into my favorites!

Okay... so, the best way to describe this is to just think about my face during reading this... its like, at the beginning, even though i knew where it was going, i was sad and it was a :(... and then Jim came in and it turned into :) and then by the end it was :D... seriously, the smile on my face is about the break my face...

Besides the fact that that would happen naturally with the whole talking head thing, but was a great Pam, and a great thought processes and it totally makes sense.

And now I am off to be with real people, all the while carrying a grinning like mad smile on my face.

this is so true:
"...everyone loves him..."
I love him.   Obviously.   Duh.

I could totally hear that subtext.  Nicely done.

Author's Response: Thank you!   I thought her "Everyone loves him" was pretty transparent.....

YES!!! This is so A-W-E..S-O-M-E! I heart it a lot. Especially the freak-out moment as he comes in the door. :D Yay! Major squeeing happening right now!

Author's Response: You know she had to have been freaking out at that point....I mean, she's sitting there, trying to convince herself that she's OK if she never sees him again....and there he is!

Great concept...and made me relive the scene with a whole new slant!  I like that you gave Pam an internal sense of urgency about what the day might bring that contrasted with the calmness of her demeanor that we actually witnessed as we watched the episode. Pam had to understand that the outcome of what happened in New Your would have a huge, probably life changing impact on her and it had to have been on her mind.  I think we caught her anxiety when she asked  Michael, upon his return, about who got the job.  It was clear she wanted to ask if Jim got it, but hesitated and asked about Karen, instead.  You've captured the internal discussion Pam must have been having with herself form the time Jim and Karen left  the day before.   Nice take on it!

Author's Response: The whole episode, it felt to me like underneath that serene smile, Pam was a bubbling frenzy of emotion.   Jenna played it so well, I really tried to capture that here....thanks for the review, I know you are a huge Pam fan, so I consider you the conmoisseur!

Oh, MO. So, so, sooo good.

It's YES to anything. It's YES to everything.

Exactly. I think Pam would have said she was free even if she'd had an appointment to donate a kidney to her mother that evening... Gorgeous and lovely and perfect.

Author's Response: Oh, YEAY.   That was my favorite part of the story, I'm so glad you liked it, too!

Hee. I had a big dumb grin on my face just like Pam at the end of this story. I like that you had her say yes before thinking; that's totally what happened. Nice job!

Author's Response: I thought it was so fitting for her to just blurt that "YES" this time, after Jim's last big move just got inertia and fear...Fancy New Beesly, indeed!

That was fun...such a pleasure to relive that scene and your take on her thoughts is dead on.  Great stuff.

Author's Response: Thanks!   I would be embarrassed to admit how many times I've rewatched that scene....except I know that here, I'm among friends....who have also rewatched it a bazillion times....
