Ya know, I'll let you in on a few secrets.  First secret:  I've never had a song with anyone, so I've never even known any process of finding one.  I always thought it occurred randomly... but picking the song together on a cramped little chair seems just perfect to me, and then letting it go the way of Lady Luck?  Amazing.

Second secret:  This is (maybe) the first song fic that I've ever reviewed, no less, felt good about.  I hate song fics with a passion--but the fact that the song (in this case) truly belonged to the story and moved the story and wasn't just generic and silly was amazing.

Maybe if more song fics were written like this, I'd be okay with them.  I love it.  Keep it up!

Author's Response: In my experience, finding a song is usually random, but I also liked the idea of them picking it together.  And I was wary of doing a song chapter and I'm so glad you think that I pulled it off.  Many thanks, Doof, your support means the world!

You really had me thinking that the real diamond was going to be in this chapter, first with him trying to pick out the right one with the salesman, then at the end I was thinking he surely had tied the ring to the little cutie's collar...but this was really perfect.  Thanks for another super cute update!

Author's Response: Hehe sorry to be such a tease, but I'm glad you still liked the chapter.  Thanks for reading!

Well, since it is all about Becky215 and Cousin Mose, then this review isn't for you, its for them :P. Or I guess you can share...

Dogs can totally smile... my dog can. Its such a cute little smile...I just called her over to see if she would smile, but now she just thinks I am going to give her a treat and that didn't work. My dog (female), however, on her forehead had this gorgeous spiral of brown fur on her white forehead... it was just this perfect spiral. but as she grew older, it got less defined, and is now just a brown patch.

I love that the doggy can do a Jim face!!

Oh god, my heart broke as the doggy was left in my room. The first night I had to leave my puppy downstairs, her whimpers broke my heart. I am pretty sure I cried myself to sleep, I just wanted to go spend the night with her. But as my parents told me, that its like with kids, sometimes, you just have to let them cry, and they are better for that. But now my doggy sleeps in my room. We are all much happier (even when she decideds at 4 am that she wants out... and she wakes me up to let her out).

Doggies make me happy. And now after reading this, I have to spend some quality time with mine... granted, this is the same dog who I already took on two walks today, that spoiled puppy.

Author's Response: Thanks for reading!  Glad you enjoyed it.

Awww.... look at you, being all clever with your "first you think it's totally going to be a ring and then it's a dog" brilliance! :)

I was thinking about writing a Jim and Pam get a dog fic of my own, but I don't see how it could be as good as this one.

This story just keeps getting better and better! I am very excited to see the next installment. Good job!

Also, I can't speak for CH, but I don't mind if you tell people how wonderful I am ;)

Author's Response: Hehe, thanks Mose!  I think you should still go ahead and write your dog fic, personally.  And it's a good thing you don't mind me singing your praises because after all the help you've given me, it's going to keep coming.  Thanks again for everything!

oh my goodness. you're such a tease. you know what we were all thinking when we read the chapter title. then you outdid yourself by writing a wonderfully non-cheesy chapter that was NOT about proposal but alluded to it. good job. i love how jim's nervously trying to present Hope in just the right way and pam's reaction of "you jerk!" is perfect!

Author's Response: Guilty as charged :)  Thanks so much for reading, I'm glad you liked it!

I normally don't read stories that aren't done yet, but I broke down and am very happy I did-this is SO sweet! And, you just had to throw a puppy into this fluff, didn't you. :) You better keep writing-and I mean quickly. :)

Author's Response: Well I'm certainly glad you broke down to read it!  I'm really glad you enjoyed it and more chapters are on the way!

Lovely, lovely, lovely, as always. I love how you make us think you're talking about a ring in the beginning (you tease, you), and your description of little Miss Halpert is simply precious.  You've wowed me again with your spot-on Jim/Pam banter, and the humor in this was the perfect mix of fluff and romance. Another wonderful job; I've said it once and I'll say it again: you continue to top yourself with each passing chapter, so this story might have to go on forever so we can enjoy your creativity and the intricacies.

Go start chapter 6.  --GMMBBG

Author's Response: You know, you have consistently been the first to review for every chapter.  You are speedy, my dear, and thank you so much for all the kind words about the story!  Thanks for being such a great fanfic partner-in-crime as well as a great friend.--SHWOP

WOO HOO!! This chapter turned out great! Oh, where to begin with everything I loved about it? Let's see...

First of all, I have a particular bias towards any story involving an iPod--(reminds me of another brilliant story written by a brilliant and extremely humble author! :P).

I loved Jim's "close the deal" voice. That just rang so true for some reason.

"Less attitude and more swaying, Beesly." -- excellent line! Swaying is dancing, after all! (Can I call you Sway now?)

And I've always believed that Pam's iPod is loaded with boy bands as well. They're a throw back to her high school days. Her guilty pleasure. Her musical Achilles' Heel, if you will.

Finally, ease up on Kansas, will ya, ya big bully? "Dust in the Wind" was one of the first songs I learned how to play on the guitar when I was in high school, and yes...I rocked! :P

Oh man...I feel so old all of a sudden...

Author's Response: No no, nothing against Kansas, just had to work in the cliche somehow ;)  Thanks so much for all the help Mose!  Glad it was up to par!

Wow, besides the fact that I have only heard half of the songs (Let Love In and Feels Like Home), this was great. And Feels Like Home is an AWESOME choice for their song. And this was great as always. Now I am going to be singing those songs all day... not that theirs anything wrong with that.

Author's Response: Thanks so much! Glad you felt the song choice was appropriate!

These little stories are adorable and I will keep reading them as long as you keep writing them.  Deal? Yes, I knew you'd agree.

I used to love playing Life.  Back in the day, when doctors made the highest salary of $20,000.  Wow, dating myself.

Author's Response: Sounds like a deal to me!  Thanks for reading!

Tra la, tra la--so lovely I just can't stand it!! I really think this is my favorite chapter of the bunch. They just get better and better (is that a cliche? It might be...)

My favorite part?: “Less attitude and more swaying, Beesly.”

“I thought this was dancing.”

“You talk too much.”
*************

Lovely work here, my friend. Can't wait for more!! -CH

Author's Response: Thank you my dear! As always, couldn't have done it without you kicking me in the ass and telling me to just update already ;)  Muchos gracias senorita.

Author's Response: Thanks!  Maybe some actual writers of the show will read this and take the hint ;) Thank you so much for reading!

Um, yeah. Your fic kinda rocks.  After surviving North Dakota, I'm very glad I get to come home and read this.  You need to post the next part soon!  Like, soon.  Liiiiiiiike, soon.  Yeah.  Soon.  Or now.  Cause it's really good, and I'm an impatient individual.  So keep it up!

Author's Response: Lucky for you, it's updated. Now.  Soooo you should definitely check that out :)  Glad to have you back Doof!  Thanks for reading!

I love how Jim got all flustered after his little slip

I loved Pam's little "Oh yes" because she forgot to actually say yes out loud

This story is so cute and adorable I can't get enough!  Great job!

Author's Response: Yay!  So glad you like it :) Thanks for reading!

I think my favorite moment in this chapter was Pam thinking she'd said "yes" out loud, while thinking it over and over in her head! Very cute.

You're on a roll now, Wendy, so don't stop the music! I'm enjoying it far too much to have the ride stop just yet! (were those enough cliches for you?) Great job!

Author's Response: Hehe, it seemed like such a Pam thing to do, glad you agree!  Thanks for all the support Mose :)

Life is such a fun game... I kinda wanna play it now... Although, we lost most of the cars, so our people ride around in like, a little disc or something we stole from another game. i remember one time when my brother had landed on like every single get a kid space, and so he had to use two cars (before we lost them) to cart around all his kids. it was quite entertaining.

:D. This story makes me smile.

Author's Response: Life is my favorite board game ever!  And thank you so much for reading!

I love your Pam... so confident, but also so human. I am not quite sure how to describe it, but she is just ... its Pam. Its both what we see on screen, and so realistic. Gah! I suck with words.

This is so sweet. I don't care how cliche, but it is so sweet and great and happy. And it would be a lot better if my mom didn't call me every five seconds asking me a stupid question, but you can't do anything about that, so I will stick to this is great, my mom has issues.

Author's Response: Aww, you're not bad with words at all!  I'm so glad you think that I got Pam down, she's such a fun one to write.  Thanks for reading!

I am so excited by this story.
Something so totally minor - at the end of the paragrah where they are talking about Pam's parents new home, and how it will never be home, I think there is an errant " because the quote ended before. I may just be misreading it though.

This is so awesome. :)

Author's Response: Thank you so much, and thank you for catching that error!  Glad you're enjoying the story :)
