This makes me want to find all of the women's shelters in Pennsylvania and send out fliers or something. That or watch Lifetime ;)

Lovely story though. So sad :( I hate imagining little Pam afraid like that. I liked her sister, too.

Author's Response:

thanks! yeah, i just saw Pam hiding scared in her closet in my mind, and I hated that picture, but i still wanted to write the story.

thanks again!

It's very good!  I think Claire should go to her mom's house, get some support and never go back!  This line of the song " but there are groceries to buy
and she knows she'll have to go home
" is so sad.

One positive, is that Pam probably did not have this kind of dad, since she considered him a white man that she trusts (The Convict).  Phew!

It's so sad to think of all the people in this sort of situation!  Good story, Emily!!

Author's Response:

I know... I hope she did.  That entire song is just so sad, because its like, you want them to escape, but it really is hard to.

But yeah, I always picture Pam coming from a happy family. I have no idea where I got this idea, I just had the little scene of Pam and her sister hiding in a closet.

Thanks for the review!

I liked it. Very nicely done. :)

And Two Beds and a Coffee Machine is seriously one of my favorite songs ever.

Author's Response:

Thanks!

I love love love that song, even though it is so sad and dark.

I think this was very well done. Nice and short.

Though in my mind Pam has two wonderful, loving parents...her relationship with Roy could have definately hinted to a brutish, drunk, maybe even abusive father.  So it all made a lot of sense.

I liked it.  Good job.

Author's Response:

Oh yes, in my mind Pam has happy loving parents. I just had the idea of Pam and her sister hiding in the closet. And so yeah... it came from no where.  Although, I do think something may have influenced her relationship with Roy... be it parents or maybe Roy himself, I don't know.

Thanks!

Oh, it pleases me to see one of my favorite songs used in a fic. No matter how sad it is. I really liked this, and it has so much potential too, maybe you can do something more with it if it strikes you. :)

Author's Response:

I don't think there is a way to use Two Beds and A Coffee Machine and have it not be sad. It is such a sad, but amazing song.

If I get a flash of inspiration, I will definitly continue. Hopefully make it a positive outcome!
