Not sure how I missed this back in the day, but it perfectly captures the exquisite pain from that time-- both of them dancing too close to the edge and killing us all in the process. It was fun to read and get that feeling back!

In trying to find another story (whose title escapes me!) I stumbled across this just now.  I felt so badly that she broke the teapot, and her ankle of course, but I loved how close it brought them together. The scene in her bed was so bittersweet - as was the very last sentence.  Great job.

Author's Response: Thanks so much! I'm glad that you liked it!

Such a sad, sweet story, Puff

Pam almost let her feelings slip out when she was kissing him, hmm.

Of course, Jim is the perfect friend to her, and buying the teapot as a make-up gift?  Awww.  Nice job, totally realistic for that stage of their relationship.

Author's Response:

Yes! I'm glad someone picked up on the fact that Pam almost let her feelings for him slip out when they were kissing. No one else mentioned it, but I thought that was a really important part of the story.
Thanks for reading and reviewing!

Puff, this was fabulous! So many tender and bittersweet moments, moments that are absolutely believable and could easily have taken place within the universe of the show.

There's just something about a sick or hurt Pam that makes your heart just go out to her, isn't there? :)

Okay...so go see if you've got any more unfinished stories lurking about! :)

Author's Response: I always look forward to your reviews. :o) I'm glad this story was believable in the context of the show. Thanks so much for the review!!

Very nice.  I like how you had Jim say "I can't" in this fic.

Author's Response:

Hmmm. The "I can't" wasn't really intentionally calling back to 'Casino Night', but cool!
Thanks for your review!

Oh, I forgot to mention this (shesh, with everything I mentioned, I actually forgot something), I just wrote a story (not posted yet) where Pam twists her ankle. Totally different set of circumstances, mine is pretty much an AU story, but yeah!

Pam's wardrobe sounds shockingly like mine... except not. TShirts, Jeans, flip flops, tennis shoes, hoodies. I have some formal wear which I never wear though. Like, one two outfits.
Hmm, is the "athe" in that fist paragraph supposed to be a word?

Sprained, Twisted ankles are HORRIBLE. I have hurt mine about every year... two years... since I was 4. Which adds up to about 15 injuries. One of them was two days before Christmas. That wasn't enjoyable. Although its generally my left ankle thats most vulnerable.

Jim is so sweet to Pam. Yeah, the time I twisted mine right before Christmas, I was on a walk (walking three dogs), I had to walk all the way back to house (was dogsitting), drop off two of the dogs, then walk back to my house. Was horribly painful.

--- at this point i was rudely interrupted by my mom who proceeded to talk talk talk talk talk. After about 2 minutes, I tuned out, but remained on the phone another ten. Now I get to finish reading the story.

Poor Jim, its like, everything he wanted, but not. He was being so amazing, but then, its like, pam was practically torturing him. :(! poor Jim!

Its so sad that they just go back to normal, I mean, its what they are best at, but its like, NO, its something you two! Deal with it!

Author's Response: Yeah, I sprained my ankle a bunch of times back in middle school and high school. I sprained it really bad once when I tripped over a tree stump, and then it was weakened for a few years because of it, so I twisted it a bunch more times. But luckily, I've never broken an ankle.
Thanks for the detailed review! And no, "athe" was supposed to be "and the". lol. So thanks for pointing that out.

Ah!  I really enjoyed this.  I like stories that explore the interesting dynamic of their relationship during Season 2.  This definitely seemed very realistic - I love the way Jim treated her when she was hurt.  You really kept him in character well.  And when Pam started kissing Jim's neck in bed.... oooh boy, I was like, "Wow."   Very nice!

Author's Response: Thanks so much for the detailed review!

ohhhhhh PuffingNoise, you rock at life.  This was just so GAH!  So S2 Jim/Pam and I love the cuteness yet bittersweet moments.  And I totally can sympathize with Pam's problems with heels.  They're so much fun and look so cool but very dangerous.  And 10 Things I Hate About You!!!  You hit this one out of the park ;) Lovely job!!!

And just like that, things went back to the way they always had been and probably always would be.

that's like the anthem for their lives.  great job!!

Author's Response: Aww, thanks so much! I'm glad you enjoyed it!
