Okay that might be the perfect proposal! I love the ring ;)

Author's Response: Jenn, thank you! It felt right for them, to me.  Thanks for reading and reviewing!

Seriously one of the most beautiful Jim/Pam chapters I've ever read.  Love the randomness, yet perfection of the proposal.

Author's Response: Aw, jinx, that's quite a compliment given all the wonderful writers here.  I'm honored and thank you for reading along this whole time.  It really is reviews like this that make me want to keep writing more.

Aw, so sweet.  I'd imagine that Jim would have an epiphany similar to this one day.  Like, "what am I waiting for?".  They've already waited so long.

This story is great.

Author's Response: In light of everything they've been through and how long they've waited...yeah.  He needed to have an epiphery and just get on with it!  Thanks for the review, kells!

Awww...Pam will certainly treasure that plastic ring just as much as the real one he gets her. And,yes, "rascal" is a perfect term for Jim.
Too cute, those two.

Author's Response:

EH, thanks for all the sweet reviews.  This one might be my own favorite so far.  Glad you liked it.

I so loved this chapter.  So sweet and perfect.

Author's Response: Thank you, NanReg.  I sat down with a really loose idea and the thing pretty much wrote itself, which sure doesn't happen too often.  Glad you liked it.

Thank you for not having a life.  This was beautiful!  One of the best Jam!Proposals I've ever read!  Love him teasing Pam with embarrassing grocery items.  Such a dork.

Author's Response:

The straight-up, romantic proposals have been done far better than I could ever hope for.  This felt real to me, something he might do impulsively...and back it up later with the real ring and a more formal proposal.  Thank you for the wonderful comments, lisahoo, and for being . . . such a dork!

Remember the other night when you said I made you laugh so hard you almost peed your pants?

Oh those two. haha.  Cute and fluffy.

It's the laughter I miss the most since I lost my husband. He was a rascal, just like you. Enjoy every single moment

Aww! I heart Elderly People!! So adorable and wise.

Good. What'll it be? Rocky Road or plain old chocolate?

*sigh*  you and your food fic.  HA!! (I'd go with good ol' vanilla Pam)

Yay for Engaged!Jam!!!!!  I love this.  They're so dorky like that and I love it.  Insert happy sigh here.

Lovely!!! :)

Author's Response: Awww, I'm so glad you liked it!  This one poured out really fast, I did just a little editing, didn't agonize over it, and let it loose.  Vanilla?  No way!

Writing these little vignettes is addictive, isn't it? This totally took me to the happy place - their silent conversation as she comes down the aisle rings so true.

...translate the entire day for each other in their own language that nobody else understands.

What a perfect way to describe that secret current between them. Just lovely.

Author's Response: It devinitely is addictive, Colette.  I might try my hand at something longer at some point, but for now, I'm enjoying these so much.  I got excited over that line, too, so I'm glad you liked it.

I've just gotta say the image of Jim putting up that ceiling fan without a shirt and his cap on back-to-front and sindging like a total dork made me sigh. *swoons* This was awesome! The list is soo cute. So is Jam... especially Jim. :D

Author's Response: Hee!  I swooned a bit while I was typing it, Snoznoodle!  Thanks for the review!

This is sooo gorgeous. It's seems to be exactly what Jim and Pam would be thinking. It's beautiful and makes me feel like dying because the season premiere is still too far away!!!

Author's Response: Three days!!  You can do it, Snoznoodle!  Thank you so much for the lovely review.

Yay!  So glad to see an update from you tonight.  This is such a sweet series.  I know I've said it before but I love just little looks into their lives together.  So well done!

Author's Response: How sweet, kells, thank you so much.  I think it's going to get more challenging because I don't want to get repetitive or sappy.  I'll be scrolling through the playlist looking for the next bit of inspiration.

Well, you've inspired me to create a mix on my iPod with the music from this story because it's all so good :)

Great Jim perspective about why he stays where he is even if it isn't professionally fulfilling. Love their silent communication as she comes down the aisle. Wish there was a blip in his head of what it might be like if she was coming down the aisle to see him at the end, but I like what you came up with :)

Author's Response: Wow!  That might be the coolest thing ever, Jenn!  I thought about the blip in his head about their own wedding, but I just couldn't work it in without it sounding completely cheesy.  Writing the big moments are really hard for me.  I've tried a little bit of it and it just falls completely flat.  Flatter than Jan's old shrunken chesticles.  Thank you for the great review!

This chapter always makes me hungry :)

I can't remember if I reviewed this one or not, so I'm reviewing it now. I really love the way they are so comfortable in this. I like the mental picture you provide of them just sitting together in bed, talking. Great job!

(Now, I need some Mac & Cheese...)

Author's Response:

Jenn, thank you so much.  It's crazy that there is only one chapter that doesn't have any food or drink in it at all.  I'm better at food porn than . . . porn porn, I think.  Glad you liked this one.

I love this. Happy Jim and Pam are always wonderful, but it's so great to just see the two of them depending on each other and resting in the peace that love like that offers. They both know that all the little stresses aren't that big a deal when they're together. and you convey that so well!

Author's Response: I'm so happy to read this, rulesofjinx, because that's exactly what I was hoping for.  Thank you so much for the sweet review.

Author's Response: Thank you so much, PokerChips!  It's been a challenge to exercise my old atrophied writing muscles, but reading reviews like this one keeps me going.  And welcome!  This is a place of welcoming!

Wow.  And you know Jim can say that much with just a look.  As can Pam.

I'm so looking forward to Pam & Jim at a happy wedding.  Well, not that Phyllis' wasn't happy for her, but well, you know...

Author's Response: I wonder which couple is going to be the first to take the plunge?  I hoped I wasn't going too far with the JAM telepathy, but they are so on the same wavelength, I think they could have a whole conversation without saying a thing.  Thanks for the review, lisahoo!

Absolutely adore this story and each chapter seems to get better than the last. Not sure how you do it! I just loved the juxtaposition between how unsure and uncomfortable he feels about his job and the direction of his career...but then here comes Pam - and that part of his life is completely comforting and he's totally sure of that path. BRILLIANT.

Also, Pam in burgundy....brilliant as well!

Author's Response: Pam in burgundy...I thought you'd like that!  I can't tell you how wonderful it is to read your reviews, LoveFool.  I thought about making this the last one because I don't want to get redundant or lame with this idea, but then I read a review like this and it makes me want to keep going with it.  Thank you so much.

I loved the line, 'he hears the soundtrack of her laughter'.  Very romantic, very loving, very Jim.  Another wonderful chapter in this love story Sweetpea.

Author's Response: Aw, jinx, thanks so much.  I love that line, too.  It's such a thrill when they pop out of your head like that without struggling - the one or two times that's actually happened.  Thank you for reading and reviewing.

I love THIS STORY more than that! I enjoy these chapters SO MUCH SWEETPEA, I have to say this might have been my fave though! Just something about them being all snuggled up and just TALKING about anything and everything. Just being THEM. Perfect.

Author's Response: Awww!  I'm all verklempt!  Yeah, I love them just being together like this, too, and it was really fun to write.  And I'm SO glad to see a new chapter from you!  Thanks for being so generous with the reviews, LoveFool.

Can these two be any cuter?  These stories are so adorkable and lovely.  Love the teasing between them.

Author's Response: No, EH, they can't get any cuter or my teeth are going to rot out!  I loved letting Pam tease Jim for a change because he gives it to her so often.  Thank you for the review.

That was hilarious.  That's actually almost a better date than if it had worked perfectly because all your cards are on the table.  No more pretense.  I loved Jim picking up the lettuce off his shirt.  And a wisecrack to end the chapter, "We still have more wine.  And cheesecake!  Why don’t you go take your clothes off and we can have dessert in the bedroom?”  That was perfect.

Author's Response: Ha!  Well, it's definitely a story they can share for years to come.  So glad you enjoyed this, MA.

Wow! This was so great! Sometimes I have a hard time following the dialogue-only stories but you did such a good job making clear who was talking. When you said how they had a big conversation on May 18, I was like, ooh, can you do a chapter on that? But then you told us some of the good stuff anyways! Great job :-)

Author's Response: I have a hard time following sometimes, too, sudzy, so I'm really glad it was clear.  mixedberryjam helped me so much with that.  Please let Greg Daniels give us just one smidge of this kind of stuff this season and I will be ecstatic!  Thank you so much for the sweet review.

Also wanted to add, that despite the gross mashed potatoes reference (ha) I like it! And the changes youmade are wonderful!  It flows so much better now and is def. not confusing one bit at all.  And I love the licking his face line. haha still makes me laugh!

(PS this is mbj, for some reason I was stupid when signing up here and put in wildberryjam and not mixedberryjam like everywhere else) Don't ask me why. :)  now you know

Author's Response:

Whew!  I thought I had my berries REALLY mixed!

I took every one of your suggestions and I even incorporated a few of your comments because I really liked your responses.  But the mashed potatoes had to stay, because I love them. I can't thank you enough.  And just so everyone else knows:  fastest responses EVER.  I had plans yesterday evening, so I was away from the computer, but you were ON IT!  Tiny Dundie for you!

I think the thought of Pam trying to do Ping and Jim doing Stanley.... So funny.  And just how good you have the actions explained through their dialogue is great.  And I love the right amount of funny, sweet, and serious you got going on,  it rocks.  Great job :)
