I've really enjoyed reading this story. What a great ending! I loved how you had little details of other episodes in even though this was a story based off of one particular episode. And Brian was a great character. Thanks for sharing!

LOVED IT!!!  I loved the integration of all the epis... the coal walk... the "hey" "hi" after a long silence ala Drug Testing... that's great.  Keep it up!!!  Your writing is beautiful.

This is wonderful. seriously. It's just so perfect that they didn't read them the first time, like they knew they'd need it later. And I love the idea that Brian became a part of their life. I also love that you made Jim dissatisfied with Dunder Mifflin without Pam there. b/c we all know that's what's kept him there.  I love it!

Wonderful job with this story!  Even though I got all weepy, I'm glad they finally had an opportunity to read their letters to each other.  Such a great tool to communicate their feelings, despite the hurt.

Thanks again for another great story, Mel!

You are amazing. This whole story was wonderful from start to finish. I haven't had a spare minute for the last week and a half and it's been making me crazy, but this made me feel better. Brava.

You hit the nail on the head with these kids.  Communication, folks, it's a beautiful thing.  Use it sometime.

I'm sorry I waited until now to review this, because I really should have from the very beginning.  But you've crafted a beautiful piece of fiction here; character arcs, provoking narrative, and a satisfying plot.  It was a great read, you should be very proud!

OK, second read through.... can I say they both have a way with words, or is that too cheesy?  Well, I'm gonna....

Wow.

I have loved this story from the beginning, and this chapter is no exception. I'm usually not a huge fan of "smuttier" stories (though fasterthansnake's "A Fool's Bargain" is the exception), but you handled this intimacy with such mastery and delicacy that I'm still in awe. I love, love, love how you detailed that kiss, something that could have been wasted or dismissed by another author; you gave a VERB a voice that was real, sexy, and honest, and that was such a treat to read.

So well done, well done. Four Dundies to you for this (and a few Stanley Nickels for good measure). I'm sure Philadelphia Health Department would disagree, but all the choices you made for this chapter were perfect. --CH

Once they decide to go for it, they don't stop... ;) It's getting hot in here. I like the emotional intimacy you gave to it all; it meant a lot to them. :) I'm glad you went for a secluded roof spot as opposed to the other options you were thinking of. :) Always happy to help.

I hope I've already written a review, but I'm not 100% sure. I am enjoying this series immensely. I think that there are really clear, perfect, flawless moments (like with the pens - that might be one of the greatest pieces of writing in this fandom) and then there are moments that maybe don't ring so true to me (I still can't get on board with the slap!), but I think you've created a nice chunk of AU here. Another thing I love: the way you've weaved in S3 plot points. It gives everything a nice glow.

I love Jim and Pam pranking Dwight and now being on the run.  Can't wait for the next chapter.

Author's Response: I'm glad that you enjoyed the prank. Thanks for your review!

Whee! Jam on the run {please sing to the tune of Band on the Run}! Team Brian!

Author's Response: TEAM Brian indeed! I will definatly be singing JAM on the run. Thanks for that!

Oh yay!  This is awesome.  Jim had someone with him when he found Dwight with the hooker.  He was so sad bewildered last time about it, with no one to tell.  And they're fugitives from the camera!  Very cute.

Author's Response: Thanks so much for the review. I wanted to incorporate that scene bacause Jim is so gleeful, but so sad and lost at the same time.

I love that they're fugitives.  :p  This is seriously one of my favorite stories ever!  You are awesome.  And yeah--update soon!

Oh, sweet Jeebus, Mel.  Way to bring in one of my favorite scenes of "The Convention", Dwight got a hooker! and the whole Andy subplot of "The Convict" and then turn out to be a total tease after all.

P.S. Update soon!  Please?

Love this.  Loved all the references and throw backs to the season three that never happened.  ::applause::

Aaaaaah! The frustration!  (beating my fist against the table.)  Hell, I'M sexually frustrated after THAT!  I also HAVE to see them read those letters!  I'm addicted.  I need another fix...soon...or I'll die...no, really!  I really will die!

very cool idea, Mel - their need to communicate (at this point in the series) was so obvious it was painful to watch.  Reading your AU makes me feel better for that time.  (If that makes sense!)

Looking forward to more, definitely!
