This is another clever one - I really like Meredith as good-hearted and noticing a lot more than she lets on. She seems to get along well with most of her co-workers and is often savvier than you'd think, it totally tracks. And those varied moments of recognizing something of her own story in him are well-crafted.

(Don't know if you're interested, but I stumbled across a story by NeverEnoughJam called Roses you might want to give a read - it's brief, definitely Jam-coated, but it gives Meredith a dark backstory in a way I hadn't seen before.)

Author's Response:

Thanks for your review! I loved how later it was canon that Meredith and Creed DID hook up. I screamed at that reveal!

I've read a few fics where Meredith showed her soft side. I think people really underestimated her.

Thanks for the heads-up re: Roses. I'll check it out.

Awww. What a kind thing to do. Yay, Meredith! I knew you had a heart of gold!! Now let's get you to an AA meeting!!

Author's Response: Exactly!  Meredith has more to her than her drinking -- let's get her sobered up, and so what happens.

I love the Meredith character, especially the moments when they let her not be a lush. This is a great example of the great person (I feel) she is.

Author's Response:

Yes, I just rewatched "Michael's Birthday," and she was so kind and supportive of Kevin.  We need more of that Meredith.

Thanks for reviewing!

Aw..these are really nice. I love these mini vignettes, peeks at characters we barely know.

Author's Response: Thanks, JodithGrace!  You should try one -- they're really fun to write.

Love it!  I like how you give Meredith a new layer.  Very nice.

Author's Response: Thanks, Boof!  It's fun playing with the "minor" characters -- there's so much to add to them.

Wow. Great way to explore two of the minor characters. This makes Meredith seem very relatable.

Author's Response:

I feel like Meredith has a lot of potential -- I want to see more of the sassy lady who flashed Michael!

Thanks for the review!

Definitely like seeing Meredith as more than the office drunk.  Interesting dynamic - you did a great job with an otherwise unlikely pairing.

Author's Response: Thanks!  The "Unconventional Pairings" challenge is a fun way to stretch -- I can't get the hang of smut, but I can do okay with this!

Amen on the not so drinky Meredith.  Even though I'm guilty of writing her that way myself - I hate that she's become such a one note.  And my heart breaks for Oscar.  I have a friend who lives that life - having to put on an act with his own family and it's just awful.

Great job!

Author's Response: Thanks for the review!  It's hard to write Meredith because the show barely gives us more than one note of her.  But she has been shown as kind, too, so that's what I went with.

So random, and so so awesome. I have such a soft spot for Oscar. I don't know why, I just adore him. The characterizations in this are so on point, it's fantastic. I love this. Amazing job.

Author's Response: Thanks! I really, really want more Oscar (and Gil) and Meredith next season -- and I want Meredith's storyline to not be so "drinky."
