This is so well-written - I love your alternating viewpoints between the magic of the past and the current distance between them. It seems very realistic that they could go down a path like this, as sad as it would be. Hopefully they will work through their past hurt in "real life" (on the show). Your ending is lovely with both of them realizing they can work through it together.

I would also love to see something like this on the show, as much as I love the happiness now, they also have so much between them that would be a real treat to see delved into. This is just so tender and so lovely. It's hard for me to imagine them fighting, but every relationship starts blissfully, and it doesn't always stay that way. I love that you've tied it up with them reaffirming their feelings. This sentence made my heart stop for a second, it's so heartfelt:
"...why spend it on anger and fear and sadness when he knows that he's a better person for all the happiness she's given him."

Believe me, I don't like the angst either but what I've always loved about Pam/Jim's relationship is how real it is so I would really love to see something like this go down on the show.
