This is a really good take on Pam's journey - and how it is but isn't about Jim.

This is awesome. I'm glad it popped up on the Random Stories thing - it's great, and very real!

This was an amazing look at Pam's journey to become who she is today. And I loved the ending:

"Yet it’s really as she glances in the mirror at the lips that don’t hold anything back, at the eyebrows that will raise at something she doesn’t like with no hesitation, at the eyes that will go stormy if necessary and the face that doesn’t need to double as a mask anymore, that she’s truly grateful.

Because she’d done everything for herself, and for once she’s okay with that."

Author's Response: Aww, thanks! I'm so glad that you enjoyed it.

oh, just lovely. you know i love your pam. i think that you write her so well, in a way that's in character and maybe an idealized version too? this was beautiful. the story was fab.

Author's Response: Thanks! I honest to god love writing this girl and it's good to hear other people like what comes of it.

"... because today she caught moments with Jim like collecting stars in a jar..."   I love this story.  It's so well written.  I think you really captured Pam and her evolution.

Author's Response: Aww, thank you!

This whole thing is genius! You really know how to get inside Pam's head! I love the progression from tiny steps of honesty to the big Beach Day speech. But what I love the most is that you recognize that she needed Jim and Roy. A reminder that the bad stuff has it's purpose, too.

Author's Response: Thank you so much! I'm glad you enjoyed it.
