That was beautifully written! I think you should do a epilogue or sequel with Paris, but that just me! Well done!

This story was wonderful! I loved that even in the craziness of the Halpert house, Pam could find a little spot that was her. And Boo to crazy ex's showing up at Christmas, haha. That last talk between Jim's mom and Pam was so sweet! And a trip to Paris? ahhh, I'm going to stop myself from begging you to write about that! Wait... does saying it here count? hehe.

Sigh.  This story was just wonderful and I reread the entire thing again today.  You should have seen me at the computer in work crying at the end.  She's so happily surprised by the tickets to Paris and he's just standing there quietly so full of love for her, just perfect!  I think Jim managed to slay at least one dragon for Pam when they went out for their walk in the snow.

And I forgot to mention how awesome the entire coloring scene was, just so quiet and warm and comfortable and very Pam.  Jon was perfect and of course he would pick up on how weirded out Pam would feel with Anne around. And even though Larissa is a gossipy little sister, you gotta give her credit for helping Jim get a clue as to what Pam was going through.

Loved the whole thing.  Felt like I was actually there.  Great Christmas gift for all of us in the fandom.  Thanks and have a lovely holiday!

Author's Response: Wow thank you so much! And yay for rereading!!!!  lol I hope your coworkers didn't think there was something really wrong with you...I've been there, trust me.  And yeah I love that coloring scene, myself (can I say that about my own story?) I agree, so Pam and so warm!  Thanks for reviewing again and Merry Christmas ;-)

Perfect. This totally reflects what we were seeing as the season progressed- that joy and confidence in Pam, while Jim seemed to be floundering. In love, no question, but adrift otherwise. I cannot wait to see how you play this out (I'm finally going to have time to read and write fic again! Yay!).

Author's Response: Welcome back, yay!!! (I think you had exams, right?)  Thanks for this review, I totally felt that too that this season we were getting that shift of Jim being unsettled and Pam being totally sure, so I wrote it in.  Glad it came through as believable! And glad  you're back reading and writing ;-)

Loved this story!  Your depiction of Pam is just spot on.  I love how overwhelmed and yet comforted she is by Jim's family and the realization that maybe they need a little quietness.  It makes perfect sense that Jim would come from a family like this.  This is exactly what my family Christmas' are like.  Loud, lots of food and board games, and usually utter chaos...it fits Jim's sarcasm and humor, and also how easily he sometimes shrugs things off..comes from living in a big family.

I laughed hysterically when Pam said: "You bought us tickets to Sandals, Jamaica?" Awesomeness.

Another wonderful story! Merry Christmas! You deserve one after all the amazing stories you've been churning out ;)

(Oh...and if by way of a late Christmas present...you could update the XF story sometime soon after Christmas...I could not tell you how greatly appreciated that would be...)

Author's Response: hahaha!! Yes I am actually on the way toward a finished new chapter of the XF crossover, so no worries on that front ;-) Maybe for New Years...  And thank you so much for your review, I agree totally that it makes perfect sense for Jim to have come from a large and loud family!  Also, glad I could make you laugh hysterically, always an excellent thing.  Merry Christmas to you too!!! Thanks again.

I loved your conclusion, and the chapter titles were a nice touch.  This is one of my all time favorite fics.  I really should have had to pay to get to beta it.  You, my friend, are awesome.

Author's Response:

Thanks brokenloon!! I'm glad you liked the conclusion, since I didn't have enough time to send it to you for a stamp of a-ok (wow I'm so not good at deadlines.) And you, too, are awesome ;-)  Thanks for the beta.

WOOT!

*applause, cheering, and general mayhem*

Okay, first of all, I have to give you props for writing that Pam's family were "pickers," while the Halperts were "shredders" when it came to opening their gifts! (I wrote a story with Wendy Blue a while back in which I postulated the exact same thing. Great minds, huh?)

From start to finish, this was absolutely magnificent. Really. You should be VERY proud. /Jim. :)

What a perfect way to spend a Christmas Eve Eve evening! Thank you so much for writing this!

Author's Response: Great minds indeed! That's so amazing.  And thank you for the compliments and for reading this story.  I'm really glad you read it and enjoyed it so much and left me such entertaining and amazing reviews.  (and lol, christmas eve eve evening...you are a genius for figuring that out.)  Merry Christmas!

So... Anne turns out to be the psycho/clingy one, and Jim has to break it off with her. Did not expect that. :) But I love it.

Flustered!Pam is so well written here; I just want to give her a hug and tell her it'll be okay. She's so funny and sad and... everything. :)

Someone needs to film this story. Immediately. If not sooner.

Author's Response: thanks, Mose! Yeah Anne had to either be into girls or crazy in my book in order to really not get in the way of Jim and Pam being Jim and Pam, so I went with crazy and that was that.  And I'm glad you enjoyed my Flustered!Pam.  Poor thing ;-)  (And if this was filmed I would die of excitement I think)

but this was like someone had zipped open time and pulled his future out of the closet…this was like someone had tapped into his subconscious and made real the quiet secrets he hadn’t even gotten around to telling himself.

Guh... WOW. You can certainly turn a phrase, you know that?

And then there's your knack for dialogue. You've given Jim's family--Larissa especially--such distinct and real sounding voices, I'm having a hard time believing you're not just transcribing some secret Halpert family audio tapes. :)

I'm so impressed.

Author's Response: LOL transcribing audio tapes!!!!! That made me laugh so hard! Your reviews are amazing thank you so much, you have totally brightened my evening!

I want to be mad at this chapter. It's sad and it's angsty and it hurts to read, and I should be mad at it.

But I can't be mad at it. It's so beautifully written that nothing else matters. Even the "moments" section that makes my heart droop a little is so deliciously written, I can't help but say it's good.

See it's stuff like this I love. And it's placed you squarely on my favorite authors list. (High praise, indeed! :P)

On to the next chapter!

Author's Response: oooo deliciously written?!? Wow that is an amazing compliment, thank you so much.  And I CAN'T believe I'm on your favorite authors list!!!!!!! I'm so excited by that!!

I just got the low-down on my own sister's breakup drama from 6 years ago so case in point that sisters aren't always the best source of info. Larissa, as written by you, seems pretty cool other than diarrhea of the mouth. And "Jim and Pam" will always be "JIm and Pam"

Author's Response:

Right? You never know with siblings, especially brother/sister.  Information trickles out over a span of like twenty five years lol.  And yeah I think Larissa would be pretty entertaining to sit next to at dinner ;-)

What a beautiful Christmas gift for us.

I could live in this Jim and Pam Christmas world forever.  You have written a beautiful, funny and touching story and it was a true joy to read.

Author's Response: wow thank you so much! I'm glad you enjoyed it and left a review to tell me so.That's a beautiful gift for ME! ;-) Merry Christmas!

Okay, first of all, you've been secretly placing cameras at the last five Christmases I've spent at Mrs. Mose's parent's house, haven't you? Whew! I tell you, you've just got this amazing knack for filling this story with such realistic feeling and sounding moments. It's just beautiful.

And then there's Anne. "Jim & Anne." Yeah, that was deliberate on your part, wasn't it? Even her name sounds like Pam's? (I suppose you could have named Jim's ex Tammy, so you could have had "Jim & Tam," but that's a little easy, yes? :P)

Another great chapter! Oh, and before I forget, I loved Larissa's line about Jim wanting to slay dragons for Pam. SO cute. :)

Author's Response:

Jim and Anne, yeah totally deliberate.  I considered Jim and Sam(antha) for a very brief, insane, second...but I went for the more subtle approach ;-) And thank you again, can I just say that I love that you've commented on each chapter?!?! You're fantastic and I love reading your reviews!  Thank you thank you thank you!

This chapter got a hearty "smort" out of me, and I'll tell you why.

See, I come from a small family that is a lot like how you've described Pam's. And when I married into Mrs. Mose's family, what with her five brothers and sisters...well, yeah. Let's just say that in reading about Pam's first impressions of the casa de Halpert, you hit the nail right on the head for me. :)

I love this story so far! It's just fantastic.

Author's Response:

Thank you! I, actually, come from a very large family so this was sort of my way of thinking "Wow...if I was not born into this what would all of this craziness be like...yikes."  So I'm glad that it rang true for someone who's more of a Beesly than a Halpert ;-)

"She loved him like first snowfalls and scattered ornaments and the scent of pine.  She knew him like Scranton in the winter, and December felt like the warmest month she’d ever had."

Son of a gun, that's amazing writing! That needs to be a song lyric, stat! (Stat means now!) :)

What an amazing start to this story! And the fact that it's all right here? Well, that's like opening up a great gift and finding batteries included!

Excellent beginning! I'm off to read more.

Author's Response: lol stat means now! and I'm glad I was thoughtful enough to include the batteries for you!!!

Okay, so it might just be the sentimentality of Christmas and all that is associated with it speaking, but i am fairly sure that your story was just simply beautiful. Really, honestly beautiful. And I am aware I am talking about a fanfic, but goodness it was pretty. What a wonderful writer you are! This is the first time in a very long time I have wanted a white Christmas (I live in Australia, so we're all about the approximately thousand degree Christmas days down here) and the person I love beside me. Oh, look at how sentimental I am being! Your story really was oh so gorgeous, though. Merry Christmas!

Author's Response: oh man thank you so much for this great review!  (Australia?! Wow!)  I'm so glad I could bring out your oh so sentimental side and have you wishing for a white Christmas.  Thank you again for reviewing and Merry Christmas!

Before I go any further, I have to stop and say this is where I left off last night when I couldn't sleep.  So good up until now.  Love the Family Halpert - so warm, so fun you've made this holiday so real.

Sorry, I have to move on and finish, but I've really enjoyed this so far!

Author's Response: thanks Sweetpea!  I'm glad I could give you something to read when you couldn't sleep, that's the worst.  Thanks for reviewing!

This was adorable, Stablergirl!  I was a little worried for a moment but it was good to know Anne wasn't what I'd feared and that Jim, as we all know, loves Pam more than anything!

Thank you so much for submitting it...it definitely made my day here at work a lot better!

Author's Response: oh good I'm glad I could improve your day! And yeah I had to do something to ensure that Jim and Pam are still the winning duo of names, and that Jim and Anne was not at all a factor ;-)  Thanks for reviewing!
