I love this. I'm normally very wary of crossovers, but The West Wing is my favorite show of all time...so I had to give yours a look, and I'm glad I did. You did a great job of tastefully bringing the two worlds together without upsetting either one of them. Well done.

Jim and Donna... never thought about it, actually, but you're right. They're in the same boat, sort of. You wrote their voices really well.
And did I mention that you fucking rule for writing a WW/Office crossover? Really. Rock on.

oh my god i love this. there is this other ww/to crossover but it's a bit more satirical and oddball (but i love it). this however is a completely lovely, carefully crafted gem. donna is extremely in character. i cannot imagine a better crossover pairing than these folks. and of course the campaign would go to good ol scranton PA, that beloved swing state! it's brilliant. i am always trying to figure out ways to cross my two favourite shows, and you did it for me. what a lovely, gentle fic.

I'm usually dubious of crossovers, but I think this one works really well, because you really kept it within the spirit of both shows (i.e., they didn't meet in outer space or via a paranormal experience, lol.) That moment of worlds colliding has a subtle surreal feel, but you manage to keep it in a very incidental, ordinary context - and it makes sense for these particular characters to have an instantaneous recognition (the unrequited love club?) Enjoyed that.

Wow, this brought back memories of how I used to love WW and how I so wanted Donna and Josh to get together (and how I really disliked the "Karen" on that show). So cool that Donna runs into Jim - Donna certainly could write the book on unrequited love! Great pairing, great story.
