Oh! That brought tears to my eyes! How perfectly understated. But I love that Pam would be so wound up she'd overanalyze every pause and action. Because you know she would!
Oh!! I'm glad you liked it.
And that was me projecting a little bit onto Pam - because I totally would be on pins and needles myself. :)

This? Simply gorgeous, my friend. I love the overall feel -- really hazy and drowsy and comfortable. And you know I am a gigantic romantic sap, but seriously, this is exactly how I see the proposal actually happening, and that would be so fine with me.
Also, your chapter note? Made me just sigh wistfully.
Thanks for this!
You're too sweet. I felt hazy and drowsy and comfortable when I wrote it so I'm glad it came across. ;) I could see it as being something incredibly simple and was compelled to write.
I'm curious what made you sigh about my chapter note? Do you think uncgirl is super cool? Do you like food and wine? Are you looking forward to the next chapter of Near to You?
Or was it my story note where I said 2 years later she can? I'm going to go with that one. LOL!
Thank you for the review.

This is the most unique and wonderful proposal idea, ever! LOVE!
I actually worked with a girl whose boyfriend proposed that way. She didn't realize what he'd done for hours, Me - I'd notice a diamond but whatever. LOL! I loved the idea of them just waking up in the morning and having it happen. Glad you did too!!

This is perfectly lovely, and exactly what I hope happens. I love that he realizes he doesn't want to wait for his life to start, that he doesn't need bells and whistles or castles in the air, he only needs her. This story is like a hug :-)
Author's Response: Aww thanks! I think in the end it'll wind up kicking Jim's ass instead. Like maybe she proposes first or he tosses all the plans out and just does something like this. Either way - I know I'll be happy. :)

This was perfect, xoxoxo. I wonder if this is how it's going to be. Like you, and everyone else and their mother, I've been pondering how this is going to go down. I'm thinking we may not have the pleasure of actually seeing the engagement.
Thanks so much!!! And I know. I'm afraid that's as good as it's gonna get.
After last year - honestly I don't really care how it happens. I just want it to happen you know???
Of course you do. ;)

Aw...you know I like these two best when things are nice and simple, so this works perfectly for me. In fact, you made her 'yes' so sweet, I may propose to you!
Author's Response: Well if you did propose - you'd be the first. :) So watch it - 'cause I'm pretty sure I'd say yes. LOL! I'm very glad you liked it.

WHEN Pam says the "yes" heard 'round the world, you need to put this on a big 'ol banner as an "I told ya so, suckas!!" to all the worry warts and naysayers who are wringing their hands and fretting. :D
Author's Response: Well this fic is certainly short enough to transcribe on a banner. :) Thanks so much Mose. I'm glad you liked it.

OMG. That was absolutely perfect. So well done. The writers of the show should take a cue from this. Thank you for this little piece of perfect.
Author's Response: Thanks so much Annika. I'm just so happy to see them so happy. So glad you liked it!

*melts* Now this would be something if we could see this happen on the show. That documentary team would need some serious hidden cameras though!!
Favorite line: He's tired of waiting for his life to finally start.
Hee. Yeah. Not likely. :)
Glad you liked that line. I'm as tired as I imagine Jim is...hence the fic.

Yeah...that would be such an awesome way to propose. Very sweet, xoxoxo. I love everything that this proposal chooses to be. :)
Author's Response: I feel like anything he does now will be kinda anti-climatic. So I decided he should pretty much do nothing at all. :) Glad you liked it!!!
