Oh my God!!! This is wonderful and terribly sad all together. I, too, battle with love and resentment for Ryan in that he has so much potential to be a good, successful guy, and yet his cynicism/condescension to others really brings him down. I hope for his own sake that is fired soon so he has to hit rock bottom and take care of himself. And I hope that when that happens, he realizes he does have people like Kelly that would be there for him. As crazy as that office is, those characters really do a good job looking out for each other.

Would it be too much to hope we could expect some more to this? I think you've got a great start here in detailing the undoing of Ryan and help him get back to himself, I think you've got remarkable introspection here when it comes to his character. I think this beginning has great potential in being built on further, I hope you do! :)

hey this is wonderful!  it's the kind of fic that's not necessarily popular around these parts, but it's really, really gorgeous.  and sad.  i think mindy & co did a great job with this - and so did you, in this continuation.

This is fantastic. I SO want Ryan to reach out to Kelly for reals. Not that I think Kelly in any way needs to go through the hell of having a junkie boyfriend, but you ended this in the exact perfect spot: before any of the dealing-with-addiction stuff happens, and just after we see how much Ryan needs Kelly. 

Excellent job.
