There’s one set of apologies for being absent to the morning meeting and one mismatched selection of dishware and one tube of toothpaste and one apartment that cradles their lives in its brick and plaster palms.

Sigh ... I just love that.

The end line is love.
The end line is poetry.

Wow! This almost snuck under my radar, and I'm so glad it didn't. I have to say that this reminds me of when my wife and I moved into our first apartment after getting married. It was exactly like this, and this little vignette made me smile like you wouldn't believe.

And how many good things can be said about that last line? Not nearly enough, in my opinion. It's perfect.

This was very, very lovely. I especially loved the picture you painted of them on the mattress in the living room...her catching the light with her ring. ::sigh:: Quite goregous indeed.

I love you so much, bebitched. So very much. I especially adore Pam's reflection on what she had after she and Roy split up. Well done, well done; the perfect bit of chocolate for me to enjoy when I should be studying. You're the best! -CH

Very nice vignette.  I love the closing phrase, just lovely:

one apartment that cradles their lives in its brick and plaster palms

This is the first "Jim and Pam get engaged and move in together" story I've read that has felt real.  You did great work here, bravo!

Um, I love this a ridiculous amount.

Roy had gotten most of the furniture in the split, so in the end she was left with her regrets and a photo album and the absence of hope that she'd be able to assemble the pieces into something new and whole.

That's incredibly beautiful and poetic and truthful and wonderful. And oh! The last line is amazing. I loved, loved it!

There’s stumbling around each other in the morning, trying to find the hairdryer and his tie and the cup of coffee she knew she put down somewhere, but dropping everything in a sudden flurry of lips on skin and clothing on hardwood because being on time for work could never be worth missing this.

I love that line. :) I found the wording/phrasing of the second sentence a little confusing, but, overall, this is a beautiful fic.
