Absolutely wonderful. I love these little snapshots as much as I love the idea of long rainy days doing nothing (but I don't get tired of the snapshots like I do the rain!). Great story and spot on characterization.

I want rain. Man, seriously. Give me some rain. I don't think I would ever get tired of it. But then again, we only get like one day of rain a year it seems so, I don't have a chance to get tired of it. Sort of a blink and you miss it phenomenom.

I used to be competitive at board games. But now I only play with the kids. And kids really don't like it when you are like "haha! sent you home/ooh, beat you" or anything of the sort. So now I have to be the annoying grown up and let them win. 'accidentally' miscount so I don't knock them home, 'accidentally' take the second card down leaving them the good card. *sigh* I wanna kick someone's ass at a board game again.

I like that Dwight says FUBAR. Haha. That's kind of awesome.

Aww, Angela, Dwight is right for you in the weird warped way. Of course, I somehow read that Dwight carried Cat Boone back into the house in his mouth. Not sure how I came up with that, but it certainly was weird.

Author's Response: There's been way too much rain recently here. It had thankfully tapered off for a while but then of course there was a huge downpour yesterday (and guess who spent the worst part of it driving around lost -- oh yeah, ME). And I am competitive at board games as well and thankfully only play with people my age so I'm able to be really obnoxious and annoying while yelling things like "I sunk your battleship, bitch!" Buuuut anyyyyway, I'm glad you liked this. And in a weird way, I think Dwight might try to carry a cat in his mouth to "simulate nature" or something like that, haha.

These were all very well written and so in-character. I think I liked Angela's best, especially this line:

"She pulled herself to her feet and let the tears fall because the rain would wash them away from her face (but not from her heart).

And I loved "Cat Boone".

Author's Response: Glad you liked it! :) And glad you loved "Cat Boone." I'm proud of that one, haha.

Well, I certainly think you made the right choice in writin about the rain instead of killing someone!!  I liked all the little vignettes you created.  Probably liked Kelly the best.  Was it an intentional double-entendre that Ryan is a heel/the heels?

Author's Response: I love writing Kelly. Haven't done it in a bit, so I thought I'd add her in. Ryan as a heel is a little double-entendre-y about his 'tude - I liked the idea of him being the expensive shoe that makes you uncomfortable and irritated after a while, haha. Glad you liked it. :)

I was living abroad for 18 months, where it rained daily, so I feel for you.

It's a fun collection of shorts. You capture all of their characters so well.

I love Angela's recollection of Dwight helping her, it's very sweet.

Author's Response: I stayed in Scotland for 6 months, but it wasn't so bad because I expected the rain every day, whereas here the weather isn't supposed to be this way. It's supposed to be sunny! So it's driving me a little batty. But anyway, glad you liked it. :)

Aw, you made good use of the crud weather.  Such satisfying little slices of Scranton life.  Don't know which I like best, 'Cat Boone', or Kelly's analogy of the men in her life to shoes.

Author's Response: Yeah, I decided that murder probably wasn't a good choice (but the weather is really driving me up a wall, so we'll see...). I'm particularly proud of Cat Boone, haha. Glad you liked it. :)
