Jim, Pam, and a hound named Elvis? It's almost to much cuteness for one story! Fluffy, fun and totally them. Plus I love how you managed to catch those quieter emotions at work throughout, like "and for a moment she feels completely transparent and vulnerable under his gaze" Another great piece of work.

Absolutely LOVED this story! Please write a proposal sequel! You wrote Jim and Pam so well, totally sounded just like them :) Well done!
Author's Response: Thank you!! I definitely would want to write a sequel, but I want to see how season 5 starts out. I'm really glad you liked this though! Thanks again!!

Ok, I've looked everywhere for that deleted scene, and I can't find it! Help!
Author's Response: I tried looking for it on YouTube and a couple Office fansites, but no one has it posted. :| It's very cute though; it's the first deleted scene in Goodbye Toby on the DVD. Hope you can find it!

1. I'm apparently thicker than the large print edition of "The Complete & Unabridged Works of Charles Dickens," because I only just made the connection of who you are out there in the "real" world. *waves* I love you, Dr. Zaius!! :D
2. I've always wanted to write a "Jim and Pam get a dog" story, and now I don't have to, since this one is so great. Fun, quirky, a little bit poignant... you've hit the trifecta here.
3. Elvis looks a little bit like a Beagle to me. (And THERE'S a sentence I never thought I'd ever type. :D :D)
4. Excellent work, my friend.
Author's Response: 1. It can be very confusing with two different usernames. Mostly I picked ktface3 on FF.net cause I was totally unaware how into this whole fanfiction scene I'd get, otherwise I'd probably be Dundie All-Star there as well. And my LJ username is from years ago, so there's no changing that. But I'm glad that now, you know the rest of the story. 2. Please feel free to write about them actually getting the dog. Sadly, I have never owned a dog (my parents were cat people), so I would have no experience to base the trials of house-training on. Bugging my boyfriend while he's playing video games though, I have much experience in. ;) 3. I assure you, Elvis is a basset hound. Google image search says so. :D 4. Thank you!! My heart is very full at this moment.

oh my...your finest "hasty one shot" EVER. EVER EVER. i truly lol-ed at "should i pause?" all the way through the ape babies bit, and just smiled all-too-knowingly at the rest, at both the tone and content. then i read the funny bits to mr. comment and lol-ed even harder, as did he. so so super fantastic. (i know this is a bit of a button, but you've rendered ME, of all people, speechless with this.)
Author's Response: Not a button at all! I'm glad you shared with Mr. Comment; perhaps he's read it for himself as well? ;) Glad you liked the "should I pause"--I swear, I've done that to Mr. All-Star countless times, which not only makes it funny, but totally believable (to me at least). Thanks so much!!

That dog is too cute. I am being such a girly squeeling girl right now. Also really cute? This story!
I really like how you have Jim continuing to play his game throughout the beginning of this. So often Jim is painted as the Superman boyfriend, completely in tune with everything Pam might be thinking or needing. You have him as a real guy- someone who would keep playing his video game while his girlfriend hems and haws. But ofcourse someone willing to stop immediately when he knows she needs him to.
Did that make sense? Well anyhow, I like it!
Author's Response: Thank you!! I'm really glad you noticed that about Jim; I don't like when he's portrayed so unbelievable like that, so I tried here to make him as real as possible. Like, he knew she wanted to tell him something, but he wasn't going to push the issue unless he could tell she really wanted to talk. So glad you liked it!!

I don't think I've ever made a more high-pitched noise in my life. Oh my GOD, that dog is so flipping cute!
Author's Response: Thank you!! I know, that dog is insanely cute! Just the kind of dog I picture for them. :)

Elvis the dog is adorable! And I loved this fluffy filled piece, it was great! (I also have to give a shout out for mentioning the Mannings. They are like my favorite...ever.) You know, I think this should have a sequel...
Author's Response: Thank you!! I figured it wasn't too much of a stretch to mention the Manning boys; Pam knew who Joe Montana was, so... This definitely could have a sequel, but I wanna see how season 5 starts out. Glad you liked it!!

Jim Halpert is obviously my soul mate--he wants a hound because of Copper? A man after my heart.
The whole story is mucho, mucho cute.
Author's Response: Thank you!! Can't you just picture him with a a little hound puppy? God, so ridiculously cute. :D
