I know Jim's a teenager here, but still, I can't see him overreacting that badly to Ryan. Hope they patch things up. I like the story so far :)
Author's Response: I did realize he overreacted a little too much, but really I just wanted them to have a cafeteria showdown. I tried to write him as in character as I possibly could to make this happen. I'm glad you're enjoying it though! :)

Love this idea! I usually dont like AUs either, but since i was such a huge band geek in high school this caught my attention.
I see Kevin, Oscar, and Angela as the percussion section, that way the are all forced to work together and you can keep that dynamic. Kevin on Bass drum(since it requires the least amount of skill and work) and Angela on Bells/Zylophone that way she won't have to put her mouth on anything and use her tongue in such a "unholy" way. Bonus- from her perch on the top tier she will have an excellent viewpoint from which to observe and judge everyone else's actions.

Is it just me, or does Jim seem more of annoying in this than Ryan? Ryan just seems to be joking around with him and Jim is getting annoyed for no reason.
With regards to actual story, I love it, am a big fan of AUs, especially childhood/highschool ones!

Author's Response: You're right..Jim is more annoying. But, he was just having a bad day. Ryan will be a little more douche-y in the next chapter..
