So what I needed tonight. That was awesome as always. I love how nervous Jim was, but then challenging Pam to who's mom would freak out more lol.

Author's Response: So happy you liked it!  Thank you so much for letting me know. :)

Oh, they're so sweet. Interestingly, my husband also attributes the conception of our daughter to a particularly memorable afternoon, despite the math not working out. So you've stumbled into some sort of man-logic truthiness here- nice work! The tone here totally matches the expressions at the end of the ep. I think that's cool.

Author's Response: Hee!  They are indeed.  They seemed so shocked that I couldn't help but carry that over for a little bit.  I'm glad you thought it fit in.  Makes me smile. :) So thank you!

Wow. Wow. I hadn't really considered what you imply here- that "Stress Relief" actually explained Pam & Roy- it was the relationship model she'd had all of those years. Wow! Love this. Obviously.

Author's Response:

I just kept thinking as I watched that episode how different her relationship was with Jim than with Roy and the comments about her parent's not communicating...well needless to say it struck me more than ever how large a bullet she'd dodged.

And so I wrote about it. :) So glad you liked it!

Very sweet. For some reason I could really see Jim saying this line with the stutter:
"I don't know. Never been p-pregnant myself." He stumbled over the word, his eyes glittering with a mix of amusement and utter amazement.
Also liked the ending - not a day to mess with the Beesly.

Author's Response: I love it when someone can actually picture something I've written.  Thanks so much for telling me so.  You made me smile. :)

Aww, good times!  That was sweet and wonderful.  Gotta love the Winnie the Pooh chapter title, "Which Kitchen?," You're really going to try and beat me today?"...the whole thing made me smile.

Author's Response: Smiling is good. :) Glad you liked it!!

Haha! Pish-tosh indeed! That was great!...I love the whole idea of them not being able to go anywhere quite yet, and the little details like Jim's hand shaking as he signed the forms and how he tried to listen to the nurse but just couldn't...and then that last little bit when Pam incredulously asked if he was really going to try and beat her today...PERFECT.

Oh, AND there's something quite romantic about their conception happening on just a random day...nothing "epic".  Great!

Author's Response:

I'm so sorry I'm late to replying to you - and also sorry you haven't gotten a review from me yet re: your babysitting chapter.  It was amazing btw.

Thank you so much for motivating me.  :)

I've read this before, on fanfiction.net? (:

Hmm. Really?  If you have it was not by me.  I haven't posted on there in years.

I hope you liked it anyway!

I absolutely love this.  It touches on so many little details that I've wanted someone to tackle, xoxoxo, and I can picture this whole scene. This was the perfect bedtime story :)

Author's Response: Awww.  Thanks!!!  Glad to be of service.

More of this story?  Hmmm.  We'll see.  Probably not until S6.

More in general from me?  I'd say no - but I'd be lying. :)

I just reread every chapter. It's like such a wonderful review of this past season. Thanks so much for this chapter.  I'm still giddy here. :)

Ditto, EH.  Ditto. :)

Thanks so much!  I'm glad you enjoyed it.

That last bit was just lovely.  You can write post-ep fics all day, I won't complain.  I love seeing what happens with them "after work".

Author's Response:

Hee.  OK then.  I just have to figure out a way to write all day at work and still get things done. ;)

So happy you liked it. :)

Superbly done.  I could totally hear this conversation, and I absolutely can imagine Pam's parents having an impact on her like you show here.  And of course, the beauty of the comfort they take in having found each other is depicte wonderfully here too.

Author's Response: Well thank you.  That's my favorite thing about them so I like to write it.   A lot.  Obviously. :)

So, gratitude turns chaos into order? I need that at work then. 15+ kids is pure chaos. I have graditute and then its just all neat and orderly, and maybe I can hear myself think?
Totally want to try that out.
(no I don't know why I pick the randomest things ever to comment on)

Anyways, I can totally picture Pam like that. And I love it. Its just so simple and contemplative and such a lovely scene, like, troubled, but still serene.

Jim saved her.

I'm sorry if post-episode conversations are annoying you. You write them so well.

Author's Response:

Apparently it does.  :)  I love your random comments - so no worries.

You're very sweet.  I'm just craving a bit more of a challenge I think.   I'm so glad you liked it.

Chiming in to agree so much with your idea that Pam realizes that "it could have been her." I see that whole ending as Pam's "Money" moment, and you've done a great job with a very plausable conversation afterward, and I loved the bickering about the tape - very realistic. Oh, and Jim is a gem.

Author's Response:

Thank you so much!  I thought as I watched the elevator scene that this is what must have gone through Pam's mind as she rode up in the elevator.  I just wanted to 'hear' her say it...so I made her.  lol!

And yeah.  He's a keeper. :)

I really like this follow up to 'Stress Relief.' Because as devastating as watching her parents split up must be, it's got to weigh on her that she could have been like them. "There but for the grace of God go I" and all. Great job!

Author's Response: I think she's probably realized it before now - but the whole situation + Jim's words to her dad - made it all the more real.  Thank Jenn!  I'm so glad you liked it.

I knew you were fly, but you're so on the wall these days! I love how in the midst of this heavy convo, Pam digresses to insist he tape around the trim - SO something I would do (oh, wait...I mean, PAM would do ;-) Your Jim is, as usual, possibly the most loving/tender Jim of the Jims in Jimtown (my kind of town, btw.)

Oh, one tiny thing - in this line: he knows now when she simply wants to be alone... I think you mean he now knew (since this is written past tense.)

Author's Response:

How are the rents in Jimtown?  They can't be much steeper than NYC can they??  :)

My tenses were all jacked up at the end too.  It happens when I get tired - or maybe every single time I write. :)  Thank you for making me fix the beginning so I could fix the end as well.

Wow, it totally could have been Pam.  I'm pretty sure she realizes that too. Thanks for filling in the gaps that the writers haven't been showing us lately, xo.  Nicely done.

Author's Response: You're most welcome, Miss Hoo.  I gotta think life might not be so bad if you had that boy at home with you. :)

Please, please keep writing these. Maybe go back in time and do conversations for S4...and S3...and S2...LOL, is it clear that I love these? :D

Author's Response: Aww.  You're sweet.  I figure I'll have a few more left in me for S5 - so I can promise that much.  Thank you for letting me know I'm not annoying you in addition to myself. :)

Some wedding discussion, yay! Since we aren't getting any on the show, it's nice to be able to read it here. I definitely think Jim would be more involved than Roy, but I do not envy Pam for having to go through the planning all over again. Even with a man on board who is willing to help, it's a lot of work! I also love that Jim read the whole wedding book and knows what red velvet cake is. Mmm... red velvet. /Homer Simpson

But seriously, this was a fun, fluffy read. And we could all use some fluff in our lives every now and then!

Author's Response:

I know!  I wonder exactly what kinds of things they are discussing.  Does Pam want a big day afterall?  Or is she hoping for something more low key.  Inquiring minds want to know Mr. Daniel's so step on it.  ;)

Thanks so much for your kind words.  I have it on excellent authority (umm...mine) that fluff is good for you. :D
