GUH, you so totally helped me as I was suffering without my two favourite people tonight, your fic is like a patch lol.

That was ridiculously cute and amazing and I have missed you :)

Author's Response: Thanks Hannah.  I seem to be inspired after each episode so hopefully I'll be back as soon as the show is.

Oh I have DIED. Second time reading this and it was even better the second time around. I can't even tell you what I liked about it, because it was all just AMAZING!!!!!!!

Author's Response: So sorry for the dying - but glad you liked it.

I love to read any quiet time these two have.  I wish we could see some of them on the show.  Thank you for making it possible.

Author's Response: My pleasure.  Thank YOU for reading (& reviewing!)

This was such a treat to read.  I could envision them spending a quiet moment and talking about the future.  You have me even more excited thinking about the return of our fave show!  Thank you, xoxoxo.  Happy holidays to you.

Author's Response: Thank you so much NanReg.  You're too sweet. I'm so happy you enjoyed it.

Oooh, I love that title/quote. Very true, and very approriate (even though I haven't read the chapter yet).
But Christmas was severly lacking in Jim/Pam, so, yeah. This is good.

"Whatever happened to mistletoe and holly?"
Holly got sent to Nashua or wherever, breaking mine and Michael's heart and evil evilness and there can never be any happy Christmas without her ever again.
Or um.... yeah, totally. Mistletoe is fun.

Last Christmas was the best and it was the one we were robbed of!
(the writers deserved it the writers deserved it the writers deserved it)..
Nope, still wish we could have gotten our Christmas.
Man, I sound really bitter in this review.

Pam got Jim a scarf? I want to know the story behind that. What Christmas? How totally in love was Jim at that time? How did Pam decide on that particual scarf?
He wore it the day he came back and now that just sort of breaks my heart a bit.

Oh, and Wedding Cake... mostly sucks. I've never been that impressed by it. The groom's cakes I've had - quite delicious.

This makes me just so happy. Way less bitter than I sounded.

Author's Response:

LOL Emily.  I wanted to write a "last Christmas" story but couldn't get my act together.  Maybe someday I'll write a "how Pam bought Jim a scarf" story as well.   Give me some time to see if I can work it out.

Happy to make you happy my dear.

"  Legibility is overrated."
It is. Who needs to be able to read grocery lists or thank you cards?

I gotta say, the payoff from that day at the office... probably very enjoyable for both of them.

"She came home because her home was with him."
Perfect perfect perfect!

Question:
 "Oh?  Is that problem?"
Shouldn't that be is that A problem? Or maybe its some Scranton-ese term I haven't heard before.

Okay, so the imagine of them just sitting in the chair was adorable, but then, the chair collapsing on them makes me love it even more.
God, these two couldn't be more cute if they tried!

Guh, that's all I care about, too.

Oh, and I really like the idea that Pam gave Jim the blue striped scarf.  But then I'm a little sad he doesn't wear it anymore.

Feel free to feed us these sweet little cupcakes anytime, xoxoxo.

Author's Response:

I know.  Let's get on with it already.  LOL!

I wanted to put some light in S3.  I wanted to give Pam a teensy bit of home because I felt so bad for her that day. sniff sniff.  I have my fingers crossed we'll see the scarf again someday.

Thanks Lisa.  Will do. :)

Of all the things to notice, I notce that Jim has laundry littering his floor. That does it. I am not in love with Jim Halpert. I can't stand slobs.
Oh well. Maybe not. I guess he does have some redeming qualities...

They're sharing the tea! Aww!

No Pam. I don't think you were ready back then. I think it would have damaged you if you had tried it back then. I'm afraid you could have given up on art a lot more if you had tried it. Roy would have been all "I told you so" and you would have believed it.

I kind of love fluff.

*sigh* Sweet as red velvet cake.  And I like that Pam has some sympathy for Angela. I think that's in-character. Yay for getting married! Yay for Christmas! Yay for xoxoxo! Woo!

Author's Response: I am so far behind in responding.  :(  Thanks sooooo much.  So happy you liked it.  I think (hope) we will see some of her sympathy in the next episode or so.  Hope you had a great holiday!!  :)

Nice. I particularly like how they absolutely revel in the game at work. So much fun!

Author's Response: I have to imagine that's how it happened.  I also liked the idea of Jim saying "You win."   It brings a whole new meaning to the tag at the end of the episode - if you know what I mean. ;)

So sweet. "I don't keep score." What a kind, generous thing for her to say, because you know it has to nag at him, that whole lifetime she spent with someone else. Love, love, love!

Author's Response: LOL!  I'm laughing at myself because I write that line and then I choose to use the phrase "women know the score" in my next chapter.  But anyway...  I love moments where Pam lets Jim know how different it feels to be with him - and yeah - that she loves him best of all.   So glad you liked it too!

Feisty Pam is definitely my favorite Pam. I loved her in The Surplus and now I get a little extra in this chapter. I enjoy romantic Pam & Jim too, but I think my favorite iteration of them is their competitiveness, playfulness and their snarky/witty banter with each other. You have captured all of that and more in your characterizations of them here. It's perfect. Well done!

Author's Response:

Mine too!  :)  I'm so glad you thought I'd captured that part of them here.  It's tricky to not go completely over the top.

Thanks so much for reading!

::sigh:: PERFECT.  There's a moment from the Surplus when Pam is at the copier and Jim says "we'd love to have you" ...I swear this unborn chapter was the subtext of that.  Love it!  I'm so excited your plan is to continue this!

Author's Response:

Well that certainly works for me!

It's been fun picking moments from the episodes to write about.  I'm so happy you're coming along for the ride!  Thanks LoveFool!

Oh I LOVE this.  First off let me say thank you for explaining to me how it seemed as if Pam had never been to Jim's parent's house anymore. Your explanation about tall relatives, totally put that into perspective. Completely plausible, so thank you!  I found myself "awing" all over the place and then literally laughing out loud when the chair broke.

Oh and thank you so much for that basketball images...like Colette I'm s sucker for that boy and a ball (love the image of him holding it against his hip...yum)

Author's Response:

I love that you loved it. :)   That part annoyed me too - so I had to her bring it up.

As I said before - there was no hoop on the garage - so I knew there had to be one hiding somewhere.   There should never be a shortage of basketball fics. :)

Awwwwwwwwwwwww more stories of little Jim in their house. I'd love for you to continue, write about how they do the hosue up and all that. It's lovely :)

Author's Response: Thanks Hannah!  This story is taking on a post episode type feel so if there's another episode about Jim and Pam talking home improvements - you'll see more of that. :)

Your devilish plot has succeeded - update momentarily. And coincidentally, in mine, Pam also calls Jim impressive. (Though in a very different context. Ahem.) And in part 5, they're also talking home improvements...sorta. So, great minds, yadda yadda.

This was - as usual - a great little, perfectly in-character, slice of their life. I especially loved when Pam had no clue about leaders, gutters, etc. (little architect humor;-) And as for her admiring him playing b-ball? Girl after my own true heart. Such fun...wee!!! Thanks for this.

Author's Response:

Awesome. :)  Jim it seems is impressive is many ways. ;)  I'm glad you liked the leaders and gutters part.  Having never owned a home it was tough for me to think of something!  And what is not to love about b-ball Jim.  Nothing - that's what.  And you - my dear - are most welcome.

Lovely, lovely, both the silliness and the more serious stuff.  I can imagine Pam asking lots of questions about Jim's childhood in that home, things like "Where did your mom hang your Christmas stocking?" or "Where did you pose with your date for prom pictures?"  Stuff like that.

Any time we get Bball!Jim in a story is a happy bonus, so yay!

These little moments in their S5 life are so nice to read about, so don't be bummed about another WIP.  Just add to it whenever the inspiration strikes, because we're all really enjoying your take on their lives now.

Author's Response:

Aww thanks EH!!

I see her doing that too.  I noticed that there wasn't a hoop on the garage and was convinced that meant there must be one in the backyard. :)

And just because you said so I'm going to stop worrying about the WIP thing.  Thanks again!
