Loved it! And I vote for him still calling her Beesly once they're wed.

This was completely and utterly fantastic. I loved the inside thoughts on the proposal. This pretty much makes me love Jim even more. Great work!

I love this. I think I now have to read everything you've written. The banter between them is so natural and so sweet. I love it.

This was so wonderful! Amazing first chapter; I loved the set up of this with the cute banter and the little hints of vulnerability, and then the second chapter was just so simply perfect. This was my absolute favorite:

And here I was on bended knee in the rain and I didn’t have anything poetic or romantic or flowery at hand. As many times as I’d imagined this moment, how I’d tell her what she meant to me and how much I loved her and everything I’d do to make her happy…all I could manage was, “Pam, will you marry me?”

Nailed it. Fantastic job!!

Author's Response: Thanks for the review Dundie All-Star! I appreciate it. I love when people tell me specific things they liked, so thanks for that. (That's what I thought he was thinking, anyway.) Glad you enjoyed it :)

I lifted an eyebrow at her, reaching down for my pants. “Mocking me, Beesly?”

“Always,” she said happily, wiggling back into her panties. “Will you still call me Beesly when we’re married?”

Oh so perfect. I so hope he still calls her Beesly. I mean Halpert would be cute but not in the same Jim/Pam way.
As always, amazing chapter. I loved your take on it. :D

Author's Response: Yeah, I hope he still calls her that, too. It's so sweet and so them. Glad you liked it, rj. Thanks for the kind words! :)

Oh I love everything you write. But I think I've left you enough reviews on your stories that you should know that by now.
This is beautiful. The banter was perfect. You always seem to make it so real! :D

Author's Response: I love that you always leave reviews, rj! I always appreciate when people take the time to leave a comment. Thank you for saying it seems real... that means a lot to me. Glad you liked it! :)

That was sweet and way beyond "obligatory proposal fic".  Love the post-sexin' car banter.  Sounded just like them.  And of course Jim is still going to call her Beesly, even when she's officially a Halpert.

Author's Response: I love how he calls her Beesly--I hope that doesn't change after they're married. Glad you liked it, EH! Thanks for taking time to review. I appreciate it! :)

I've been having a crappy week so far...but this helps ;)  I love this:

I have never, not in my entire life, felt as happy, as full, as I did then. All the best moments of my life have been with her, and now she’ll be with me for all of the ones to come.

Oh Jim - such the hopeless romantic.  I love the way you write him, and of course you have their snappy banter down perfectly.  Another win, callisto!  Well done.

Author's Response: Glad I could help, kells :) I do love writing Jim, although I'm always a little afraid I'm making him a bit too romantic...so thank you! Glad you liked it, and thanks for reviewing! :)

Wonderfully in character. I really liked this part where you have a call back to Jim talking about Pam going to Pratt as "see how easy that was?"

Easy, how was that so easy?

All these months I’d been thinking, plotting, planning, when all I’d ever had to do was ask.

So easy.

I’m such a tool.

Can't wait for the next chapter.

Author's Response: Oh, that was probably my favorite part too. Jim likes to overthink things sometimes. Glad you liked it. But alas, this was it! I need to finish up my other one anyway, and probably do my schoolwork and other RL duties... sigh. Thanks for the review jazzfan! Always good to hear from you. :)

Hey, callisto, this is awesome. It just helps to extend the happy feeling from last week. I love your idea of the significance of the rest stop. And the missing scene was an even better addition to the episode. I liked it all, but I especially liked the ending to the second part. :-)

I continue to be impressed with your writing and your take on Jim and Pam. Really wonderful!

Author's Response: Hi Blanca! I won't lie, it felt really good to watch that proposal a hundred times. I'm gonna chase that feeling ;) So glad you liked it, even though I decided not to explain why the soda exploded...these things just happen sometimes. Thank you for the review! I really appreciate it :)

Perfect, as always. I basically love that it was her idea to do it in the car, haha. It was very cute and sweet and kinda had me just as elated as Jim was =)

Author's Response: Yeah, I love to think Pam is not as shy as she seems... glad you liked it! :)

That was PERFECT. Seriously perfect. As always, it was totally in character, and 100% cute and sexy =)

Author's Response: Thanks HH! I try. Glad you enjoyed it :)

oh my god I love it I love it. Happy happy, the smile is almost breaking my face. Although, I do have to say, I'm glad to finally know what happened with the exploding soda. I mean, that was the best part of this story. Some questions just need to be answered. Engagement - pshaw. All about the soda.

Author's Response: I love, love, love that there are always so many little details tossed into the show for us to play with and wonder about. Glad you liked my take on it! Thanks so much for reading and taking time to review :)

HA!  I am SO not tired of Proposal!Fic!

Love this part:

All these months I’d been thinking, plotting, planning, when all I'd ever had to do was ask.

So easy.

I'm such a tool.

That literally made me laugh out loud.

Also -- the last line: I love this woman.  It sounds like a diamond commercial.  Freaking perfect.

Author's Response: I am so glad to hear you liked that part, because I think that's my favorite part of the whole thing. Thanks for reviewing lisa! Always makes my day. Now, we just have to wait for Thursday :)

I will NEVER get sick of this proposal...

Author's Response: They did it so beautifully, so much more simple and wonderful than I ever would have dreamed up on my own. It was fun to try to look into his thoughts a little though. Thanks for the review! :)

Yeah. So that's pretty much exactly what happened. I'm convinced. *sigh* You should spill the secrets of your awesomeness someday, callisto. :)

Author's Response: Well, it's just speculation, but I don't think it's an unreasonable assumption, right? You flatter me, oobadnama! I'm glad you liked it. Thanks for the review! They keep me inspired. :)

Very sweet. I'm still not in the "post-proposal-backseat-sex" camp which seems to dominate around here, but the dialog you have is just perfect for the characters. Very realistic. I really enjoyed it.

Author's Response: You know, I wasn't initially thinking that either-- I mean, can you say 'awkward'? But then I did some math (yes I am that geeky) and figured out how much time they had and it only amounted to about an hour, so... well, lunch just wouldn't have been as fun to write, so. But I'm glad you liked it. Thanks for reviewing! :)

Yeah. Good stuff, here. Just reading through the proposal gave me shivers again. (sigh) How much they love each other.

Author's Response: The proposal the writers came up with was so perfect I felt a little silly trying to capture his thoughts, but oh, man, it was fun to relive, just like you said. Thanks lis :) I appreciate the review!

Happy, happy, happy--that's me right now, callisto, all because of you and this couple that we love so much.

For the space of long minutes we stayed wrapped around each other, breathing quietly and listening to the rain.  That line just sends me, ya know?  So romantic.

I know I'll read this many, many times whenever I need a smile.

Author's Response: Well, it was a happy moment, right? So much fun to write! I'm glad you liked it--and you always pick out lines I liked writing, how is that? Thanks so much for always being my cheerleader, Nan! I appreciate it. :D

I thought maybe b/c of your name but then thought that could just be a coincidence. Then I read this line “I have many plans,” he said cryptically."
It reminded me of Xena's "I have many skills"

Was it intentional?:)

Author's Response: Wow,I never even thought of that! I just really love Greek mythology was why I picked this name, and I remember that line now that you mention it, but no... it was not intentional. Weird coincidence though :)

Great story. It seemed like something that would actually happen to them. The characterizations were perfect.

btw-are you a xena fan also?

Author's Response: Thank you RRG! I appreciate that. :) p.s. yeah, I loved Xena! Why, did I make a reference and I don't even know it?

That was such a nice way to fill in the missing pieces.  Your dialogue definitely ran true; I love a bit of bantering.  Well done! :)

Author's Response: Hey, thanks MA! I think my favorite thing about the Office are the little details they toss in to inspire backstories. Glad you liked it! :)

What a funny clever story. It's like the writers ot TO give fanfic writers like yourself throwaway lines to expand on. The banter and playfulness between Pam and Jim is so natural. And of course old women and young child are attracted to Jim Halpert, duh!

Author's Response: Aww thanks Alamos! I love that they give us these random little details that we can explore! Just another example of why TO writers are so amaaaazing [/Kelly]. I'm glad you liked it. Thanks for the review! :)

So very well done!  And as others have said, so true to Jim and Pam's 'voices'.  I especially like how you approach the idea of Jim and Pam addressing the notion of marriage and family with Pam's suggestion about getting a dog...how they just seem to have an understanding that there's no question in either of their minds of just where this 'trip' of theirs is ultimately heading.

Author's Response: Thanks Mr Bill! Well, I decided since they've already discussed waiting to get engaged, they're more likely to start having these kinds of conversations in their own way. Glad you liked it! Thanks for the review :)
