Hee, that was great! I really enjoyed reading the latest chapter. You nailed the voice and mannerisms of each and every character, and made it funny at the same time. There were so many lines in this chapter that made me chuckle: The deviled eggs discussion, Michael clarifying that he was with Holly sexually, Jim's sarcastic "beet daiquiris", and of course, Angela being her normal ice-queen self. Can't wait for more!

Festive...and full of fiber.

The same could be said for this story ;-)

Love Angela being so annoyed by Andy's deference and digging Dwight in his element. Only thing that could make reading this more fun would be if I had a beet dacquiri in my hand.

I am really enjoying this. You've captured the absolute essence of Angela, and honestly that deviled-eggs beginning was HILARIOUS. Can't wait for the next installment.

Truly awesome to have you back, Annabel.  This whole joint venture is a wet dream for me ; )  *giggle*

 And on to the review...

You, like Talkative, are just so dang good at capturing little details and transporting me smack dab in the middle of whatever it is you're describing.  I now know that your talent is not limited solely to Jim and Pam (although I'm thrilled that they're included in this little shindig).  Deviled vs. stuffed?  Crack me up!  My favorite line:  “Great,” he said quietly. “Now we can make beet daiquiris.”  Ewwww and bwahaha!

I can just smell Dwight's sense of competition.  Poor Andy doesn't even know he's in the game.  Sure, Angela, everything is perfect.  Mmm-hmm.  Bring on the boys!  I'm ready for a little serenade.  Nothing titillating, though.

I hope Baby Winslow is fat and happy.  Feel free to sit her in front of the computer and I'll chat with her while you write...

What a treat! Two of my favorite authors working together!

Of course, once again, you've nailed Jim and Pam. I love the little moments and small talk that you capture.

Also your attention to detail is superb-- it helps set up the atmosphere and mood so well! And everything about the way you have written Dwight is SO Dwight! This piece is funny but it has a lot of heart.

I haven't read many ensemble fan fics, typically I'm a Jim and/or Pam fic gal, but I'd read anything by you two.

Looking forward to more!

Am I dreaming???  Talkative and Annabel?  My stars, it's a good day!  Makes it worth coming back from vacation.  I'm giddy as a schoolgirl :)

Talkative, you are a master (mistress?) of beautiful little details.  Nearby, a fourth table had been set up, serving trays at the ready, Sterno cans open but cool beneath them. You consistently manage to place me right in the middle of the scene you're describing, all the while expanding my vocabulary.  There must be an award for using "crepuscular" in a fic.  If not, I'm creating one right now!

I'll bet that Millie Jaeger had hair on her palms, too.

This sentence is perfection:  While the cameraman was choking and clutching the butcher block table in the massive Schrute family kitchen, the reason that he had "accidentally" shown up a half-hour earlier than planned stealthily opened the front door and stepped out onto the porch, carrying her low-heeled, sensible shoes in her left hand.  What an outstanding visual!  Throughout this chap, you managed to perfectly plant these little seeds of how familiar Angela is with the farm, all the while carrying on this charade with poor, clueless Andy.  I can only imagine how confused and hurt Mose must be as he witnesses the goings on.  Love the image of him stringing lights.

Thanks for throwing in a sidedish of JAM.  Love Jim's new habit of playing with Pam's ring.  I guess she doesn't need to anymore, huh?

Don't be such a baby, you baby. Ha!  Love it!  And this--Jim shrugged, returned the gesture, and muttered, "L'chaim," before knocking back the contents of his glass--'cause I love me some Jewish Jim!

To say that I'm excited for this story is an understatement.  That is all.

Oh, Annabellllll...come out, come out wherever you are...I'll watch the baby while you write...

Author's Response: Tink! I was wondering what had happened to you! Hope your vacation was nice... Thanks for the compliments on Andy and Angela. I think of myself as being fairly fluent in Jim and Pam, but those two are new territory for me. I feel like I'm still shaky, but I'll get it. My Andy and Angela anxiety are the main reason that Jim and Pam popped up in the middle of the story - I needed some dry land! And, yes yes, let's put baby Winslow in the stroller and go for a walk around the block while Annabel writes.

The characterizations are spot on for of all of them! I love the Dwight/Angela/Andy interactions so far and I can't wait to see where this goes!

Author's Response: As I haven't written Andy, Dwight, or Angela in any real detail before, it's nice to hear that it's working for you, lpy. Thanks for your feedback.

Ooh, the much anticipated barn dance!  Great start, and I'm looking forward to the antics...

Author's Response: Thanks for your review, pigeon. Hope you like it.

Jim shrugged, returned the gesture, and muttered, "L'chaim,"

Jim, Jewish?! Perfect!

Can't wait to see this continue :D

Author's Response: Hey, SA - yes, my Jim is always Jewish. Between his last name and his, well, Jimness, it just seems right to me. I plan not to harp too hard on that, as I believe that Ms. Winslow and I part ways on that matter, but I couldn't resist making that little joke. Thanks for your review. Happy reading.

Oh! So I guess that answers the smut vs. barn dance question. Cute. You're off to a great start, guys. I'm really looking forward to seeing where the rest of this goes.

Author's Response: You'd think it would, but I'm pretty sure we're going to try some non-Euclidean stuff here and go for both. You might want to invest in a helmet. Thanks for your feedback, Blanca. It's always nice to see your name in the review list.

Excellent.  The much heralded barn dance comes to fruition with you two.  This should be good.  Rubs hands in gleeful anticipation.

Poor Angela.  She does miss the farm, doesn't she?  She seems so wistful, even in her interactions with Mose, until Andy shows up and she has to play the dutiful fiancee.

You can tell Dwight is pushing for some sort of confrontation, first by even offering to have the party at his place, then reminding Angela of what she used to have in that same bedroom (hope he hid her ceramic cherub away), making the announcement in front of Mose, and finally pointedly ignoring Andy during the toast.

Love how Jim doesn't want to spend his precious time with Pam at the beet farm.  But, as usual, Pam convinces him to tough it out.  Love the fiddling with the diamond.  God, that boy just can't wait to get hitched.

Waiting patiently for dear AW to pull herself away from the drudgery of diaper duty and take up pen to entertain us all.

Author's Response: Hi, EH - I'm just thrilled that Annabel was willing to share this idea with me. As I've said, it's already been a lot of fun so far and I can't wait to see where we go with it. Thanks for the comments on both Angela and Dwight - I don't have a lot of experience writing either of them in depth, so your confirmation that I'm on the right track is quite helpful. I look forward to hearing from you about subsequent chapters.

Anything by the two of you is definitely going on my all-time favorite list, so I can't wait to see what's next!

Author's Response: Thanks, Jenn! We're glad you're on board.

I must be dreaming. Two of my favorite authors teaming up for a story? I'm buckling up now because this is going to be good..nay...amazing.

From the first chapter alone I can see that this is going to be a fun time. The amount of detail and imagery is beautiful and really sets the tone of the story. While reading I could see Shrute farms on the dry, Autumn night and feel like I was there. As for the premise, I love the idea of Angela and Andy having their engagement party at Shrute Farms. Can't wait to see how it all plays out!

Author's Response: Hey, second drink, thanks for your review. Locating a charming, even romantic way to describe Schrute Farms was fun. And, apparently, the writers also like the idea of Angela and Andy having a party at the farm. Annabel and I are expecting our royalty checks shortly. ;)

This is a most promising premise!  I loved all the little details about Schrute Farms, and oh, how Dwight and Angela are still being so terrible behind Andy's back.  Can't wait to read more!

Author's Response: Thanks for your kind words, Morning Angel. Annabel and I are already having a lot of fun with this; we're glad you guys are, too.

Shut up.  Are you guys trying to kill me?  Make it so that I can't work, clean my house, or finish my laundry?  Oy.

Seriously - I can't wait for more.  Also, I too love the detail about Jim playing with Pam's ring - after years of marriage my husband still does that with my ring, and I love it.

SO looking forward to more of this fic!  YAY!

Author's Response: ::grins:: I'm not trying to kill you; I'm still trying to hide all of the bodies left over from Inside Jokes. Annabel, on the other hand, has been on fic maternity leave for a few months now. She might have a taste for blood. Watch out. I'm also looking forward to the next installment. *cough* Annabel *cough*. Thanks, kells.

The combination of you two on one story is going to kick my ass, for sure. I can hardly wait to see where this goes. The detail about the beet farm is beautiful (imagine that- Schrute Farms sounds amazing in your words), and I'm eager to see what you two make of Andy, Angela, and Dwight. And the detail of Jim playing with Pam's wedding ring is something I've secretly hoped they'd do in the show, it's very sweet and intimate. This is, as usual, wonderful so far.

Author's Response: Living where I do, I can assure you that farm country can be both crushingly beautiful and straight out of Deliverance at the same time. Since Dwight seems to love it so, I've always assumed that Schrute Farms is striking that particular balance. We've got some big, hand-rubbing plans for Dwight, Andy, and Angela, and, of course, Pam and Jim won't simply be left to drink moonshine and enjoy the evening. That wouldn't be fun for anyone. Thanks, flonk.

This is going to be so much fun!  Already your characterizations are RIGHT on with each of them.  And the detail is incredible. I feel like I'm right there...I can feel the Indian summer and smell the moonshine! ;-)  And how much did I love that detail about Jim's habit with Pam's ring...FABULOUS.  Can't wait till the next installment.

Author's Response: Hi, LoveFool- thanks for the review and your kind words. I also can't wait for the next installment, as Annabel is writing it, and, really, this is all just an elaborate plan to get her to post something. Shh. Don't tell.
