Hey I really liked this fic, but also agree that the ending was a bit flat. I agree in the past they have had problems being honest, but I think since S4 it's been different. So I think they would at least have talked about it at night. I'd love more after this

I'd love to see where you take this. I like how you mentioned Pam doesn't like making decisions and that Jim should know this... continue :)

Okay hear me out, this was very well written and I think you nailed a lot of the thoughts that would be going through Pam's head. But are Jim and Pam really masters of avoidance? As far  as I can tell since they've gotten together they do talk about whats bothering them. Two good examples are the deleted scene from season four when Jim tells Pam about Ryan trying to get him fired. (then she offers to run him over...so sweet) And even in this episode where he tells her immeadiatly that his reviews aren't good. Plus Pam has been on the honesty train since her bad art show.

Again, this was well written and I don't know if my opinion of the situation is relevant. I just thought I would share.

 :-)

Author's Response: I definitely see your side of things. In all honesty, I think they've definitely grown since the beginning of the series. I still think their habits of not forcing conflict still exist, but you are right in saying that they've definitely started speaking up. I have this feeling in my gut, though, that they are going to keep a lot of stuff in for awhile.rnrnI wanted to try something a little new. I didn't want a quick happy ending to the storyline. I feel like this is going to be a carried-out storyline, and I wanted to do a story that expresses that. Also, I really feel like Jim is still unsure about what he wants and they have alluded to it but never got into it. I wanted to kinda bring that back up.rnrnThank you very much for you feedback!

Wow. this made me sad, but only because it's so true. I hate that they can still have a hard time talking about the tough stuff. Thanks for writing it!

I liked this, birdcage.  It's well written, but the last paragraph left me feeling a little flat.  I appreciate the angst of it, but it just feels kind of unfinished.  I hope that makes sense.  I don't mean to make you feel bad--just offering the constructive criticism that you requested.

Author's Response: I'm glad you gave me some criticism. To be honest, I just kinda forced myself to post this even though I'm personally not a big fan of this particular fic of mine. I agree with you that the ending is a little bit up in the air, but in a way, I was trying something. I have no idea if it worked or didn't. It was just something new that I would try and see how other people took it.
