Wonderful.  You completely captured the emotions that we only got hints of across Pam's face.  It really showed her journey of feelings until the end, where she wasn't just lying when she said she loved it.

Awww. I love reading this from Pam's POV. I love that she was hesitant but when she started imagining everything it all came together. Great work!

Your knack for getting inside each character's head amazes me. It's as if you were the characters themselves. I love your take on Pam's inner thoughts. Everything in this story: the initial thoughts on the house, imagining Jim as a boy, and the final realization of why he bought the house, were beautiful and realistic. This is pretty much what I imagined going through Pam's head at the time. Well done.

Oh LoveFool! I'm so glad you wrote this! I mean, I aww-ed along with America when he showed her that house, but man, that place was a disaster! And I was just saying to my roommate that I'm not sure how I'd feel if someone bought me a house without consulting me. And then I read this. You won me over, again! Awesome job, LoveFool!

Author's Response: hahaha...I had the same conversation with a friend of mine when Jim first said he bought his parents house...but when I saw his face in this last episode -- silently pleading with her to love it, I realized that it was about so much more than the physical house.  It felt a bit like Casino Night all over again -- and this time Pam did not reject his gesture of love. :-) Thanks so much for reading and responding!

That was very sweet, and just so great to have something from Pam's point of view!  Well done. :)

Author's Response: Yay! Thanks!!! It's kind of rare that I write something from Pam's POV, so it was a lot of fun! So glad you liked it!

I love your interpretation of Pam's feelings. I was so worried for Jim and Pam during the episode, because I would have hated that house.

Author's Response: hahaha. Well, it wasn't the best house on the planet but not the worst either.  But I think either way, Pam was bound to love it because of the gesture behind it.  Thanks so much for reading MyriadProBold!

Amazing job.  The first time I read it, I got a big lump in my throat.  Poor Jim looked so vulnerable at the end of the episode, but I had no doubt that Pam would love the house because it was another expression of his love for her.  Love all of Pam's inner thoughts that add so much to what we saw. That's what so great about fanfic and I'm happy you've been getting these little post-episode inspirations to share with us.

Author's Response: Gosh, I'm loving it too! Inspiration has been a bit scarce lately for me, so I've been so thankful for these last couple of episodes.  It's been great fun. I'm glad you are getting as much enjoyment out of reading these as I am writing them!

This is truly beautiful. You have Pam's inner voice down perfect. I love this line...
"The thing was, once upon a time I'd been willing to give up the terrace in exchange for far, far less. "
How amazingly true that is.
This story deserves a ribbon for sure!

Author's Response: You are too kind! Thanks so much for saying that.  I really believe that regardless of whether this was the perfect house for Pam, Jim is absolutely the perfect MAN for her and really what else matters than being loved like that.  Thanks so much for reading and responding!

OK.  I love your first person Jim - but this works quite well too.  Seriously -  the studio thing was great - but the look on his face when he was trying to explain about buying it without telling her killed me dead.  Poor guy was rattled the whole time he was showing her around.  Pam's a lucky girl. :)

PS I added a disclaimer for you. :) I'm an admin and even I forget mine all the time.

Author's Response: Aw, thanks for adding the disclaimer Hugs...I am such a dork when it comes to remembering that, but I will do better!  Thanks so much for always being such a great reviewer. Jim's face did me in as well...it was THAT look that sold me on the gesture behind the house.  Thanks so much again for reading and responding!

This man.  This lover. Wanted me in a way that I'd never been wanted.  They say the thing that every human being secretly desires more than anything else, is to be known...completely.  And here I was being given the opportunity to know him in a way that no one ever had.  Live where he lived. Make memories in a place that already held the most sacred of his. Turn me to mush, why don't you?  Great story, LoveFool.

Author's Response: Hahaha...I love making mush.  Thanks so much for the review NanReg!  So glad you liked it!

This is wonderful. I love the beginning quote too, because I think that's really, really the truth.

After watching the scene this was exactly the kind of mental process I imagined Pam going through. It wasn't actually whether she "liked" the physical attributes of the house, it was everything it meant that Jim did what he did that she loved.

Guh. Awesome job.

Author's Response: Absolutely. I don't think her enthusiasm and near tears at the end had anything at all to do with the actual house itself.  It was just the genuine, amazing gesture of love BEHIND it.  Thanks so much for reading and responding!

Oh, this is perfect. Because yes, he was sort of out of line to make such a big decision without her, and yes, it may not be every girl's dream house, but...he loves her. Loves her enough to want to do this for her. And he knows her, completely, enough to know deep down that this is going to be OK with her, that she'll be happy here with him. Jim's a big one for impulsive, romantic gestures, and this is certainly that. I love your Pam voice here. Spot on.

Author's Response: Aw, thanks so much. That's such a great compliment - to have the voice right.  You're so right about Jim being a romantic. I remember in that scene last season when he tells Michael that he's a romantic...::sigh:: very, very true Mr. Halpert.  Here's to Halpert and his romantic gestures!

Wow.  So glad you decided to post this before bed.

I knew in that instant that no one had ever wanted me to be so incredibly close to them before. That is the very essence of their relationship, no?

Your details explain so much of that scene, Pam's look of shock, the sketches that looked like 'pre-NY' Pam, Jim wanting to give her that piece of himself.  Well done, LF.

Author's Response: Thanks Lisahoo!!!! I'm so glad you enjoyed this. There's just something about this scene and the way Jim was so insecure...I just felt like he was giving her something so, so special...and it was a way I hadn't looked at it before. So I'm glad it was an interesting, believable angle for you too!

Oh! Stories like this make me love Jim and Pam almost as much as they love each other. Very nice, and excellent post-ep time. Usually it takes a few days for one this good to come out.

Author's Response: Oh that's so nice of you to say! Thank you Mountaineers02!  Seems like inspiration hasn't been coming as often as it used to for me, so when it does...I've gotta strike while the iron is hot!  Thanks so much for your feedback.

This is beautiful. The way what she thinks of the house evolves, the reasons you give for it - it makes it completely believable that she'd love the house.

I knew in that instant that no one had ever wanted me to be so incredibly close to them before.

What a fantastic way of looking at that. This is gorgeous in its descriptions and perfect characterisation, and when she imagined a little boy stumbling out of Jim's old room, I think I was just as sold as Pam. LoveFool, you never disappoint. (: I adored this.

Author's Response: Aw, Moofoot...what incredibly kind words. I love the word you've chosen here "evolve"...I think that's exactly what went down with Pam's emotions from the moment she got out of the car until the "you bought me a house".  I'm so glad you thought of it in the same way. Thanks so much for your wonderful review.
