Oh, how I wished I found this story earlier...like during Christmas time instead of two months later! But still...this is such a great story that the time doesn't really matter!
You did such a wonderful job capturing that feeling of "home" for Jim and Pam. It's very heartwarming and sweet and sexy too (that little bit at the end).

I think that is exactly the way it would feel. It seems such a contradictory feeling, but, it makes perfect sense and is so relatable.
My brother moved out into his own apartment. We gave him a tree and a ton of decorations. Needless to say, when we went over there, we were disappointed that it was all still in boxes and his apartment looked more like the grinch's than anything else.
Don't worry Pam. I have the bigger issue. I'm getting giddy thinking about it!
This just makes me happy. I'm just smiling like a fool now!

I'm a holiday geek too so this makes me very happy! It made me laugh that they'd think the red carpet makes it the room more festive. It was nice to see them banter and be sweet with each other. :)

Oh this feels soooo warm and inviting. What a perfect day after Thanksgiving treat! I love how blissfully happy you've got there here...and why not? They've just moved into their first home together and it's Christmas time...::sigh:: This was my favorite section:
His smirk was too much for her, and she found herself giggling and walking into his outstretched arms, sinking into him on her old couch next to his old arm chair on top of the terrible carpeting that was both of theirs.
What a beautiful way to summarize the blending of their new life together. Just gorgeous. :-)
