Well, I was just poking through my account and checking out my old favorites from when I first came to these parts. And, lo! I was one of those readers who now kinda tick me off. Favorite a story without leaving a review. I am sorry.
So, I will now say that this is just a gorgeously written story. You did an absolutely phenomenal job of capturing the longing that this pair felt for each other for all those years. I don't know why but I also really love the abruptness of the close, when Pam falls hard enough to bruise her knees. It's fitting that there will be residual pain as a reminder of the encounter.
You should write some more! Here's hoping you get this...

So many good parts in here. I especially love the bit about Jim being careful of her barrette- it's the little things like that that often let you know how someone feels, even moreso than grand gestures.

Wow. Really steamy, and the sexual tension is through the roof. This was the first fic I ever read in the Office fandom, and jump started my interest in reading more fics. I enjoyed it when I first read it a year and a half ago, and I enjoyed it just as much now.

I think it's absolutely safe to call this story "legendary." We're all glad you posted it here. I couldn't believe it when I saw this on the Recent Stories, I was so happy. This is a beautiful, bittersweet, wonderful piece of work.
The type of work that inspired hundreds of young women (and men) to (figuratively) put pen to paper and create a new history, a new story for Jim and Pam.

Ohh, I was shamefully excited when I saw you'd posted this here. I should second the review that mentioned this as "legendary," because seriously - it just is.
Their voices are spot on and the whole scenario itself is incredibly believable and hot.
I also have to second Elizabeth Lynn's wonderful review and say that, YES, the "anything" line is the hottest freaking thing ever.
