I love this line:

She wondered if he would press a kiss into her shoulder, maybe fall asleep there; maybe she'd wake up with his lips still lingering there, and she could be so happy.

"What I told you? I still... Wow, god... I still am." "Come back, Jim."

I think I had a "Cold Mountain" flash back when I envisioned Jim dropping the phone, driving all the way to Scranton in his PJs, while Pam‘s voice softly repeats ‘come back to me‘ over and over in his head. ;)

This was extremely romantic. Awesome story. Thanks!

Author's Response: Wow, I must be tired, because I read "Brokeback Mountain" and I wtf'd. I was like, "Uh, that never happened in that movie." Ahem. Well, I didn't see "Cold Mountain," but maybe I'll have to because it sounds enthralling. ;)rnrnThanks for the review! =)

Wow, this was really lovely. Beautiful flow, and you wrote them both so well. Jim's crackling voice, Pam's whispers...well done.

Author's Response: Ahh, thank you. =)

I love night, but I also love sleep. It really is a constant battle. If I am having a good day, I totally love just staring out the window, and feeling so comforted. Nighttime walks are my absolute favorite.
But if I am tired, and want to go to sleep, then its the devil!

Calls after midnight better be important. That is my philosophy.
Although I would never mind waking up because of a Jim phone call.

"Come Back Jim" so simple, I love it.

He came back :)

Author's Response: Yes, yes he did. At first I wrote this with Pam being hung up on Jim in the end, stuck in the middle of S3, but embracing her solitude at night .. but my little shipper heart was broken with something I wrote myself. ::looks:: I'm a sucker for a happy ending.

This was lovely, yanana.  The sleepless-night phone calls are so romantic.

Author's Response: Thanks. =) NanReg you are such a faithful reviewer, kudos to you. Even as an author on this site, I am a bad person for not leaving nearly as many reviews as I should.

Sorry about your insomnia, but sure I'm glad you wrote this.

My favorite paragraph (and there were several). I got such a visual from this:

She swallowed and her hand relaxed, releasing the wrinkled fabric and letting it fall over her knees again. It was all silence, and she picked up a few words that she wanted to say, but she'd save those. She wanted to see his face when she said them, and she wanted to hold him, and... "Come back, Jim."

Author's Response: Thanks. =) And, yes, the insomnia .. it is funny to go to bed when the sun is rising.

Wow. What a beautiful story. I am in awe of all your work, and I get very excited when I see you've written or updated ANYTHING! I love how brave Pam was in this story, and especially how the darkness allowed her to be that way. Perfect ending, as well. Can't say enough about how beautiful this was!

Author's Response: Thank you. =)
