Man, my ice skating was never that much fun (well, my person helping me skate was not Jim), and my hammock...well,that was fun, but it was because me and my friend would make up wild stories about how we were lost in the ocean and there were sharks eating us.... I was 8....

But I think the point of that is things are always better with Jim around. or at least more romantic.

Author's Response: Yeah, I always just fell down ice skating. I wish I'd had a Jim. (Don't we all.) Hammocks are awesome, though. And you're right-- definitely more romantic. :) Thanks!

This story was really great! I've always loved a story that show the before-and-after Jim and Pam got together because it makes me cherish the after that much more. Great job!!

Author's Response: Thanks, bkwrm! Glad you liked it. Thanks for letting me know. And sorry for the late reply! I really love to write before-and-after scenarios. You get to do angst and fun. :)

Oh, this is just so sweet. That's the best word I can come up with. And now I need a hammock. Does Lowe's sell them with Jim included? How about Home Depot?

Author's Response: Thanks, Pamalamadingdong (nice username!). Glad you liked it. Everyone needs a hammock. The Jim brand is no longer sold, I was told. ;)

Oooh. This fic is like a nap in the shade on a warm day, just exactly like that. I love revisiting the angsty, wonderful days of season 2 and the joy of now, now when it all is so perfect. You capture both tones and tie them together with a bow. Lovely.

Author's Response: Aw, that's a nice metaphor. I love looking at before and after stories, too. They're so fun to write, with all that angst and the happy ending too. Glad you liked it! Thanks for letting me know. :)

I've always been a sucker for a hammock..and backstories. And Jim. So, Jim in a hammock, telling funny, touching backstories? Win-win-win. As usual this has that intangible - but unmistakable - feel of authenticity to it. Very, very sweet. (But, poor Pam - what an awful debt she has to pay ;-)

Author's Response: Exactly! Jim in a hammock on a shady summer day? Would that I could be in such a position. Glad you liked it! Thanks for letting me know. And sorry for the appallingly late response. Apparently I just didn't do replies to this story. ??? :)

Your fluffy writings never fail to put a gigantic smile on my face.

Author's Response: Thanks, BigTuna. I love writing them, so I'm glad you like reading them. :)

A satisfyingly sweet confection of past and future experiences for our favorite couple.  It gave me a nice, happy feeling as a lead in to the season fiinale.

Author's Response: Wow, season finale! I can't believe I just never replied to my reviews for this story and it was that long ago! I'm glad you liked this, Mr Bill. Thanks for letting me know!

Oh, I love backstories, and this is a really good one. So much has changed with them, and yet, so much hasn't really changed. I like how 2006 Pam realizes what she is feeling on one level but refuses to acknowledge it on another. And how Jim's still having her on about the explanation three years later. A word to the wise for our sweet couple though - not on the hammock. And that's all I'll say about that. Very sweet story.

Author's Response: I love backstories too. It's one of my favorite aspects of speculation about these characters. Glad you enjoyed it, and sorry for the horribly late response! Thanks for reviewing. :)

Oh you made me extremely warm and fuzzy inside. A hammock is just a lovely way to set a scene...and then with Jim getting all gushy about babies. Loved Pam telling him not to say "uterus" ever again. ROFL. This was great.

Author's Response: Aw, thanks LoveFool. Jim in a hammock. Babies. Backstories. It begged to be told. I'm glad you liked it, and sorry I didn't reply sooner! Thanks for reviewing. :)

Hmmm, study for my midterms and do my overload of homework, or read the new one by Callisto?? Yeah, no thought needs to be put into that.

Loved this, just as I knew I would. Everything that stems from your typing-tips is sparkly. :) Hope to read more from you in the summer. It's going to be hard these upcoming months. (twss)

I really need to go back and watch Michael's Birthday again. Sweet smiles always happen during that episode.

Author's Response: Well, officially I have to encourage you to be responsible and do your homework. Unofficially, I'm pleased you like my writing. And in any case it's no longer relevant because it's JULY and I'm just now doing replies for this story?! Thanks for reading, glad you liked it, and thank you for letting me know. And Michael's Birthday is always a good episode. Watch it again. :)

Ooo yay!!  I have a soft spot for Michael's Birthday - it's one of my favorite episodes.  And I love the way you've interwoven here.

It's like a great hammock.

Or something. :)

Author's Response: Hey xo! I love this episode, it's one of my faves too. Glad you liked this. Jim, in a hammock on a sunny day? Who doesn't want that? :)

What a lovely peek at our favorite couple. Sex in a hammock sounds like fun (albeit risky) - but a nap in a hammock sounds perfect!  I loved all the baby talk, too.

Author's Response: Anything in a hammock sounds good with Jim Halpert, if you ask me. ;) Glad you liked it, kaystar! Baby talk is going to be even better, I suspect. Thanks for reading!

Oh mam, now I have to add hammock!Jim to the list of sexy!Jims...and the list is getting really long.

This was lovely and I liked the contrast between S2 and the present.  Thanks!

Author's Response: Hammock!Jim is a beautiful thing, isn't it? Thanks for the review, pigeon. Sorry for my horribly late response. It's always good to hear from you. :)

This? This is magical. How the hell do you do it, Callisto!?! Awesomely fluffalicious x baby talk x a flashback to my fave episode x summertime spent in a hammock = perfection. I may have just squealed a little bit.

Author's Response: stjoespirit, thanks for the compliment! You're sweet. I do love writing this kind of stuff; it's so fun, and it's awesome to know people enjoy it. Thanks for taking the time to let me know--sorry for this horribly late response. Glad you liked it! :)

Aww, how sweet is this Wednesday fluff?

Bucks to you, for the gaydar mention.  Now we can appreciate Pam's wistful expression at the conclusion of GWH even more.

Why do I imagine that Halpert/Beesly attempts at hammock sex would end up with both of them on the ground underneath said hammock?  Ha!

Author's Response: So, I just never answered any of the reviews for this story. Total neglect. I apologize for the late response, but EH, thank you. I love fluffy ideas when they come, because they're fun to write. Now, in my head, they would've gone inside after their nap, but I like your idea better. The possibilities are so funny/sexy I may have to write a sequel to practice my mediocre smut-writing skills. :)

Callisto, where did this come from?!  Whenever you post a story, I know it will be an instant favorite.  The simple things really are the best.  The contrast of winter and summer is just so perfect.  I'm itching for summer today and you didn't make things any better, missy.  The thought of our darling couple tangled together in a hammock.  That's just too good.  Thank you for this.

Author's Response: A friend of mine has a hammock. They are awesome things, hammocks, so I just thought Hammock!JimandPam just wanted to be written. The thing from Michael's Birthday was a totally separate thing, actually; the hammock story grew from that. Sorry for this egregiously late response, Nan! I'm glad you liked it. :)

Love all the backstories.  To pieces.  You just know they were talking all the time when they were 'just friends' and that certainly hasn't stopped.  They just have more time to talk.

And which Evil Halpert Brother was it who tried to kill Chuck but got kung-fu'd?  Was it Pete?  Makes sense that he would be a good skater, but would also torment Jim into breaking his arm and chipping a tooth.

Now how much do we have to bribe you to write a smuffy hammock fic in which Baby Halperts are made?

Author's Response: Of course they haven't stopped. I think it was girl7 who described their relationship as one long, unending conversation, and I think that's just how they are. I don't watch Chuck regularly but I think it was Pete. Pete definitely annoyed me more than Tom, in any case, and he looks like he's the next one up in age, so I figured he was the torturer. As for smuffy hammock fic... I just told EH maybe I'll use that for smut-writing practice, since I don't do much of that (but would like to improve ;) Sorry this is so late, lisahoo! Thanks, as always, for reviewing. It's always good to hear from you. :)
