My darling Little Comment, so freakin' happy to have a visit from you. This is epic! It may take you a while, but you don't mess around. It was wonderful to immerse myself in this summer camp of yours again. I already adore your Jim and Pam together. How could I not? You've written them so well. I'm not even going to think about this being your "swan song," my dear. That would make me too sad. Sending you boatloads of inspiration. I'll be here waiting patiently...

Jerrrrrrrrrrrrk - you are the most awesome kind of jerk though cos I have been waiting for this chapter foreverrr, so when I saw you'd updated I squeed.

I can't wait to get more in to the story of Jim and Pam, and for Roy and Karen to go bye bye ;)

LOL'd at the Michigan hand map.

This is so awesome. I love how you mix real things from the office in here but change it up a bit to make it your own!

FINALLY! :D

Wonderful update, as always! I love the day by day recap. I will not bore you with everything I love about this, otherwise I'd be here all day ;)
So sad that Roy was away from Pam, yet he's leaving her to go to a cheap seats baseball game... Typical.

So, I loved the bit about the hand map. Our state is so cool! Also, "slim, kind of dorky, maybe with some sort of messy haircut" is exactly how one would describe Jim. LOVED that subtlety there! Please update this story soon! Dunder Mifflin in Michigan is awesome! I can't wait for the next chapter!

And hasn't miss Wendy Blue taken two years to write "One Day?"

HEY!.....it may be true, but HEY!

I'm just kiddin' friend. We're all allowed a hiatus every once in awhile. And it's totally worth it when you come back with such a kickass chapter! Oh, the sexual tension. These two are as infuriating as they were seasons 1, 2, and 3 but I still love it. Plz to keep writing?

Dammit woman, I should be so mad at you for throwing me under the bus in your author's note. But... just... can't.... manage........ story... too good....!!

Seriously though, way to take your own advice and just write. You killed me, KILLED ME, with the references you worked in to this one. And you really did an excellent job with setting up how the camp is going to function and how the dynamics of the relationships are going to work. (Thank you for not being cliche when pairing up cabins--I can hear a thousand fangirls shouting "oh noes!!" at Karen and Jim's cabins being paired together.) I have missed your writing so much, and I am glad it's back!! For this chapter at least.

Also, the line "I’ve known just about every handicapped person ever" wins a Dundie. :D

Ah yes, the sharing bit was great. After Born on the Fourth of July, I wondered what Pam was going to pull out. Jim is being a bit of a clueless ass though, blindly stringing both Karen and Pam along; he should know better. Also I have spotted an insufferable music snob, and dread what kind of "indie" hipster crap Pam's iPod will end up infested with. No offense to anyone's taste in music, of course. :) Next part sooner than two months?

Another fantastic chapter.  You have a great way of weaving moments from the show into your story.  I loved the re-working of the sharing circle in "Grief Counselling" and all the little lines here and there.  Very creative.

Please don't let this be your swan song!  You have a real gift for writing and there are still about 2 months until we get some new Office!

How have I not reviewed this yet, and how did I just now notice the third chapter is up.

Love this so far, and your taste in music, based on chapter titles, rocks :)

I can almost see Pam being jealous of Karen, thinking "oh, he's just picks a new girl every year, and I'm his find of the summer." Ahh, angst- how I miss you (a little.)

Can not wait for more!

Author's Response: Um, I'm not sure how you missed it, but I'm glad you found it! And thanks - I'm trying to keep the music summery. :) That's a GREAT take on what's happening - you'll see that idea creep up again... Thanks again!

Honestly, I don't care about the campers at all. I'm just looking forward to seeing how everyone interacts in this setting. All these interesting opportunities to show off their personalities... :)

(And there's ANOTHER art fair? Guh. I'm stuck dodging the one in Ann Arbor every year.)

Author's Response: Well, the campers will be there, sachiel, so I hope that's okay. ;) The interactions are fun to work out and I hope to keep them interesting - call me out on it if I don't! Thanks for hanging in there with me! (And yes...the one I know is in Wyandotte - Pam's "hometown." Not as big as the A-Squared affair, but still traffictastic. :\ )

Shaping up nicely!  I'll be interested to see how the dynamics change when the campers arrive.

Author's Response: Thank you! Yes, things are sure to change once the work actually starts, so...yeah. That's all I can say. ;)

Wow, fantastic!! I am always amazed at how you capture everyone's voice; I especially could hear Andy's this time, for some reason... And I just want to say, wonderful balance between introducing the background stories and moving the plot forward. I would've liked some links at the end though; maybe a map of where Oscar and Angela are from? Or the "God is Great" song? I was wondering if you were able to find a YouTube video for that. I'm still giving this a 10 though, cause it's exceptional regardless.

Author's Response: You always turn me in to Goofy - "gorsh!" :D Thanks so much for all you say, and all you do to encourage me. Angela's and Oscar's "hometowns" are actually on the map now, but sadly I couldn't find a video of the song. :( Thanks thanks thanks...it's all I can say. :)

LC, you're making this summer hiatus a little easier to take.  Loving how everyone's personality is shining through.

Author's Response: Thank you, dear - as tough as they are to keep a handle on, I love writing the ensemble (as you know :) ). Thanks for sticking with me and kicking my butt! ;)

Cannot wait ofr the next installment eep!

Normally I'm not one for AUs, but this one has a certain charm about it. Familiar without being too same-y. Looking forward to the next part even without a serial killer.

(About 2 minutes out from downtown--I hate that I can't go anywhere without gobs of clueless drivers clogging the streets. I appreciate the Art Fair, but I sure don't care for it.)

Author's Response: Well I can't tell you how much I appreciate you taking a chance on this one. (I feel like Andy should be singing here, with other guys backing him on telephones...) I feel the exact same way, so I fully realize what a big deal it is that you're reading. (And as for the art fair...I don't mind it, but then again I don't live in Wyandotte either. ;) )

This creative AU is so fun to read and will be a great way to pass this Office-less summer.  It has kind of a "Meatballs" feel to it, which is one of my fave movies.

I loved how you had Jim and Pam meet with their eyes first.  I definitely felt the electricity.  Oh, and their first conversation was spot on.

This is now on my favourites list and I can't wait for more!

Author's Response: Well thank you so much! Retelling Jim and Pam's story with old details in a new way has definitely been a challenge, but a lot of fun too...I'm so happy you're enjoying it!

LMAO this is hilarious. I love how you bring in stuff from the show but twist it to fit your story - and YAY Pam made a friend. I want to hug her aw :)

LOVE THIS =)

Author's Response: Thank you so much! It's been fun scavenger hunting for little details to incorporate. (And I totally wanted to hug her too. ;) )

Oh, pointless conversations of Jim and Pam, never stop being adorable and always make me smile...

This? It's awesome. And you are staying so damn true to these characters. It isn't a "Pam becomes a city-savvy world famous artist after getting her confidence" kind of AU. It's in a setting that opens up so much possibility. And you are able to bring in all the great old jokes, somehow making them fresh. And just as funny.

And oh my GOD. You brought in the “Old friends, new lovers, and aides to the disabled! Welcome all!” line! Woo! This made me legitimately giggle. I mean, like seriously have a giggle fit. A line that would only fit in such a narrow space totally WORKS!

I like this. Oh, I like this.

Author's Response: Well thank you so much! I'm trying my hardest to keep these characters the same as you've seen them on the show - happier, maybe, but otherwise the same. And I'm glad you enjoy the "refreshing" of old jokes...it makes an unfamiliar setting and plot seem a little less so. (Keep your eyes peeled; this'll be a regular feature.) Thanks again! :)

Again, bravo!! I don't think you realize just how brilliant you are, my friend. Cause despite having this entire chapter read to me already, I still laughed, gasped and squeed my way through this thing. Or, maybe I'm just easy to please. Yeah, that could be it too. ;)

But seriously, the show references, the use of language, the perfect meeting of our beloved characters--it was all phenomenal. And I don't throw that word around either, like I do with the word awesome. Are you sure you haven't done an AU before? Because you seem like a pro!!

Author's Response: You, buddy, are far too kind. Thank you. I'm really glad that despite the fact that I've already tortured you with this it still holds up on second exposure. I hold "phenomenal" in a special place in my heart, so you using it for this? That's...well...phenomenal. ;)
