I really like that there was a point where Jim thought of the term "Push Gift" as creepy--because I'm a little put off by the term too. LOL But I do love the concept of one... *goes to demand Tiffany's bracelet from boyfriend in regards to future children* :D
Author's Response: hahaha...yes I think that's basically how I feel too. I can get behind the idea of some sentimental type of gift...but to term it a "push gift" turns it into something so trite and materialistic...damn the media. Happy that I got to make fun of it a little! :-)

is this seriously completed? because it seems like you'll keep going. i hope so because this was fantastic, and i loved the idea of it, kind of fluffy, but caring. great job lovefool, and tell me this isn't complete!
Author's Response: Aw, thanks so much for the lovely compliments! You know, as much as I'd love to continue this I just can't seem to come up with anything worthy of writing! (or subjecting you guys to). lol. If something comes to me...you got it. :-)

Oh I love how this is something Kelly springs on him. And poor guy, can't do anything right. Pam being a bit irrational makes sense, especially since when she's tired she can get 'a wee bit shrill'-- and there's MORE? Oh happy day.
Author's Response: hahaha...yeah I bet that pizza conversation was delivered in her "shrill" tone! :-) Thanks so much for reading and reviewing!

I just heard of the Push Gift like two months ago when my cousin's husband got her a necklace. I had to laugh when I read this, because I said to my mom when she told me about the PG (as I referred to it), "Isn't the baby the gift you get for pushing?" So yeah, it's good to know I fall on the Pam side of thinking instead of the Kelly side of thinking.
This is all kinds of adorable and love. Seriously, that last line is pretty much the sweetest line ever.
Author's Response: Yeah, I must say I'm with you and Pam...Not that I would turn down a gift, mind you! But the way it's always described in the media is so "demanding" (for lack of a better term). Some girls were talking about it on the boards and about how in their families things of more of a sentimental value have been passed down as gifts after a woman has a baby...THAT I can get behind.

Oh, this is so cute - I love "unsure" Jim. And this had me in stitches:
"Maybe he could just kill Dwight for her. Was that a good Push Gift?"
Author's Response: ;-) I definitely think Jim was onto something with that! He shoulda went with that instinct! :-)

I'll just state my ignorance for the record - I'm with Jim, I had never heard of such a concept before I read this. But the thought of pregnancy and childbirth....It's actually not a bad idea...;)
Poor Jim tries so hard. To the point where he takes advice from Kelly, that's got to be a new low! I'm in full Wedding/Baby Halpert excitement so thank you for continually supplying my addiction, I'm honestly really looking forward to more. But I have to say my favourite Google result was: Push Gift - How to make him pay.
Damn Straight! :)
Author's Response: hahaha! Oh man, so in my "research" for this I looked up Push Gifts on Google and so many funny sounding things came up. The ones in the story are my own - but definitely inspired by the wacky things I found there. I too am counting the minutes until the season starts! Thanks so much for reading!

That was really cute. I love how Kelly wants to help – we should totally IM and email more, oh poor Jim!!!!
Can’t wait to see where you take this.
Author's Response: Aw, I'm not sure I'm taking it anywhere (just can't seem to think of an appropriate push gift. :-) BUT, I'm so glad you enjoyed it so much. Maybe I'll come up with somethin! I think the idea of Kelly and Jim emailing or anything like that would be the ultimate in torture for Jim...so funny.
