Gosh, reading this, it felt like I was back to when I started college last year. This was exactly how I felt (minus having Jim for a father and Pam as a step mother) and I even remember my mother saying at one point "It's like a prison cell in here!" It's always a very tough but exciting time and it was captured beautifully here. Fantastic resolution to highly original and very well written story. Bravo!
Author's Response: Thank you so much! When I was writing this, I thought back to starting college four years ago and what my Mother said and how my Dad acted and that's sort of where my inspiration came from. I didn't have an adorable little sister, however, our family did go out for desserts at Olive Garden on a school night ;). Thank you so much for sticking with me until the end, I truly appreciate it.

Author's Response: Thank you so much Pamelamorganhalpert I'm so glad you liked it, and stuck with me until the end :)

You already know I'm a huge fan of this story, and I'm so sad to see it finished! But this is a great way for it to go out. I love everything about it, how happy they all finally are, and that Claire has a little sister and they're adorably close, and that she and Pam respect one another now. It's all so great. I love the Jim and Pam scene, it's so sweet in it's simplicity. You're fantastic and this story is wonderful.
Author's Response: No YOU'RE wonderful...thank you for all of your support with this..and I'm sure you're continuing support with whatever it is I move onto next. You've been such a huge help Danielle, I couldn't be more happy with it.

Aww--it's done :( Such a sweet ending. How lovely for Claire to have an adoring little sister (and Amelia is another one of my favorite names). Well done, Jenn!
Author's Response: Thanks so much Nancy! I truly appreciate you following me all the way to the end. Amelia is awfully sweet :) Thanks again for all of your support ♥

This is a great story. I am so excited to see where it goes next yet sad that these two wasted all that time when they obviously had a love that would stand time. Also kinda curious to see if although Jim says he loved Sarah, and I'm sure he did, is Pam THE ONE with Sarah as a replacement because he felt he couldn't have Pam. I guess that's kinda where my thoughts are wondeing if Jim and Sarah could have endured had Pam let him know sometime before that she had always loved him. As a big proponent of us each havine our own 'THE ONE' out there I just tend to think Jim and Pam with their pure love brought on by such close intense friendship and understanding would have won out. Anyhow, sorry about that, just my thoughts and ramblings, probably not where you will even head with this great story! I am literally checking daily for updates, can't wait to be able to read more! Oh and I LOVE Emma's charachter! (and her name, it's my 9 yr old's name!)
Author's Response: Thank you so much for this review!! I promise, a final chapter is coming within a few short hours, I look forward to hearing what you have to say!

Step-Mom? Omigod, that movie had me an absolute mess. I couldn't even talk about it without dissolving into a puddle. Speaking of puddles, I'm glad that Ms. Claire is thawing ;) Thanks for the update, Jenn :)
Author's Response: Thanks Nancy!, see, Claire's not so bad :) I appreciate the reviews, as always

I really like the little flirty text Pam sent to Jim. It's so cool how she's "all in" with him. I can't wait to see how their relationship develops, and can't wait to see Pam and Claire's relationship too. Oh, and Emma is awesome. I love her and Pam's friendship and Emma's bluntness. The libido line is hilarious! Can't wait for more!
Author's Response: thanks so much danielle you're wonderful and I appreciate all the help you've given me!!!

Always happy when you update this, Jenn. Nice to see some forward momentum in Jim and Pam's relationship.
“My Dad likes you, you know.” Claire itched at the tube around her nose, “He likes you, likes you.” LOL :) Very cute!
Author's Response: thanks Nancy! Some things never change about teenagers and girls :) More to come soon!! ♥

So glad you've updated this, Jenn, and thrilled at this reunion! Sorry that you had writer's block, but I hope you can continue.
One little thing I noticed--toward the end, the coffee shop's in Stamford, right?

Question: Why do you stop on cliff hangers?
Fact: Stopping on cliff hangers not only makes the reader go 'Ahh! What? Wait... why? When they get to the end of the chapter, but makes them NEED to read more so badly, they just don't know what to do. That said, what am I going to do while I wait? Just do my math homework, then go to school, then sleep, eat... and daydream about what happens next in your amazingly wonderful (and suspenseful) story.
Please continue! (I totally understand that you're in school - so please, let that be your #1 priority, that's so much more important - but know that your readers are completely hooked and curious to see what happens next. We'll wait!)
Author's Response: Thank you! And I looooove cliff hangers--keeps people reading and anticipating what's next. So glad that you're enjoying it, and I promise, once graduation is over, I will be sure to update another chapter too!

Hey! You're back! I missed this story, Jenn. I'm emotionally invested. My heart just breaks for Jim and Claire, and this chap just adds to it. What an ending! I hope you can update again soon.
Author's Response: I am back! Thank you Nancy, I'm so glad that you're continuing to enjoy the story, and as soon as I graduate in May I'll try to get another chapter up. I may even write some while I'm home from surgery this week. Hope all is well ♥

I'm so glad you're continuing this! I have to say I think, in my opinion this is the most powerful chapter of the story so far. It really pushes the story forward. And the end is very powerful when Claire asks “Did you really love Mom?” How can he explain to her who Pam is to him and not betray Claire's trust in him. I don't know if that made sense, so I hope what you know what I mean. I'm just really glad you're continuing this story. And congratulations on graduation! Can't wait to see what the next chapters bring.
Author's Response: Oh thank you! I really worked on the language that I used in this chapter, as well as tried to hit home about some stuff that were personal to me. I love Jim's relationship with Claire, and so this tension is definitely going to stir some things up--as soon as she finds out what Jim's intentions are in Philly ;) Look for an update soon!

Oh, I was so excited to see an update on this fic this morning! Totally understand the busyness though, and so glad you found the time to update. :) I fear things could get difficult if he doesn't explain to Claire why he's suddenly so drawn to philly... although things could get difficult either way. Intrigued to know what he'll say about Sarah, (and Pam) to her. I'm in no doubt over the answer to Claire's question, but I think it might be hard to make her understand how he feels about Pam without tainting how she views her parent's relationship (whenever that may be addressed). Looking forward to more :)
Author's Response: Katie, you hit the nail right on the head with this reviews. I'm playing on that and that's what makes the fic so much fun for me. Dealing with a parent whose lost their spouse, but has found someone else is so difficult for a child, and that's why I'm being very careful with what Jim says to Claire. :) Thanks so much for the review!

Loving this. It's great to see the combined obstacles of so much time combined with Claire and Jim's mourning. There's definitely no simple way about things here and I'm looking forward to seeing what happens next.
Author's Response: :) thank you so much! I appreciate the reviews so much :)

The tension in this chap was palpable, Jenn. When Pam asked about Sarah, I felt so badly for Jim and Claire.
*Pam laughed, mesmerized by his composure and fluidity with his words. She was waiting for a slip up, some reminisce of the Jim she once knew.* I found those sentences intriguing. The description made me wish that this was illustrated :)
Now I'm hoping to be a fly on the wall if Jim and Claire talk about Pam and Jim's history with her.
Author's Response: Thank you so much NanReg! :) I'm glad that you liked the chapter, it's very difficult to write tension, so I'm glad that it worked. :)
