Finally have a lull at work and catching up on fics slowly. This is such a great 'Jim's first day' fic. Not over the top or anything, nice and subtle, and your characterizations are spot on. I really like this!

I'm glad you liked this, I love stories from their past myself. It's so tempting to make their first meeting this momentous thing, because it totally is, but also it's just a meeting between two people. I totally got a little carried away on the momentous side of things though!

This is definitely one of my favorite fics of Jim's first day. I love what you made of his first impression of Pam, and how that one thought that was just "fleeting" was going to be stuck in his head for a long time (forever). All of these old stories are so great to read now that they're so much more, married with a family and all. Thanks for writing this! Beautiful, as is all of your other work.

It's so tempting to make their first meeting like this big momentous change-your-life moment, because it *was* but at the time it was also just a first meeting between two strangers who sort of have this spark. Yeah I'm a sucker for the older stories now they're happy in the show, it's so much more fun to read them knowing the ending.
