Oh, Cece's petals. *sigh* I'm done like dinner.

Just so you know, every time there was a visual with the petals, my heart became a mess of Jammy goo. Just saying. You need to keep writing here and never leave! Grab your passport and move into the archive, please. ;) This was such a delightful read.

This was lovely. I can just imagine them both watching one another when they're supposed to be getting on with things. The "I love you"s are perfectly placed - the face they love the little things :)

This is possibly my favourite line "Shit! You’re heading this way and I’m not done. My hands go back to their task but I’m not quite fast enough. You’ve caught me, and now you’re smiling at me smiling at you." Awww :)

Also, it totally *is* Jelly ;)

Loved it. It's amazing how much three simple words - "I love you" - can say. Well done!

Author's Response: Aw, thanks so much, AtTheStars455. Really pleased you liked it. BA :)

Ha, yes, writing fanfic for an American show can keep you on your toes.  I tried to keep all the extra "u's" out of my words, just to make it authentic.

This was absolutely lovely.  I loved that they watched and admired each other's quiet moments and each moment brought a burst of love.  Love is made up of all those little moments, ice cream, jelly and all :-)

Author's Response: Beeswax, thanks so much for reviewing my story. I have to say, I only make the effort to omit "u's" from my stories when I'm describing text that one character has written to another..e.g. an email from Pam to Jim. Otherwise, I keep things as normal (well normal to me). I guess I'm far too lazy to try and work out the spelling differences across the board. ;) Re this little story - am so pleased you liked it, and I really appreciate your kind words. BA :)

Um ... now that you've wiped a bit o' the rust off your fanfic skillz ... maybe we can hope for a new chapter of On London Time?  Please??

Author's Response: I intend to finish it. Honest. Sorry - I didn't really give you an answer there, did I? I guess I don't want to write another chapter and then stall again. People will rightfully lose all patience with me if this happen. But know that when I do get around to it, you'll be the first to know, VB. :)

Guh, the two of them staring at one another from afar with all of these wonderful thoughts is just so precious! I love the little flower Cece gives Pam. All the I love you's and ... it's just so sweet. I love it. And if you hadn't mentioned you were from across the pond, I wouldn't have guessed with this fic.

Author's Response: Deedledee>/b>, thank you for leaving me such a lovely review. Am so pleased that people are enjoying this little fic. It's been some time since I posted anything here and I have to admit I was a little nervous about the whole thing. Many thanks again, BA. :)

How sweet, that their love is still uppermost on their minds on this sort of busy, bustling day. Nice structure, nice refrain, lovely use of details. A worthy entry into the birthday festivities!

Author's Response: nqllisi, many thanks for your lovely, lovely review. So pleased you liked it. BA :)

Hi. If this story is an example of your "rusty" fanfic skillz, I can't imagine your "non-rusty" ones ;)

I love the quiet atmosphere of this story because it conveyed that for Jim and Pam, it's the small, everyday things that makes them love each other. I sighed and smiled my way through pretty much the whole story.

Thanks for sharing!

Author's Response: Thank you for your generous review, bkwrm. Am glad you liked the understated kind of vibe to this story. It's what I was going for and so I'm pleased that it translated onto the page. BA :)

This is adorable. I can just envision Pam watching Jim instead of doing the preparations she's supposed to do!

And I like that you've taken Jim's "How dare you!" and made it seemingly into a little Halpert family joke.

Lovely balance. Sentimental without becoming cloying.

Author's Response: Thanks for your kind words, VB. Am pleased you liked it. BA :)

Heeeeee, those pesky American's... it IS jelly damnit ;)

Loved this, this was so freaking adorable. I love seeing how they interact with Cecelia when she's still little but able to talk :)

Author's Response: Thanks so much for your review. Re Jelly v Jell-O: I was about to post the story with "jelly" in the title, but had an inkling that that's not what our friends over the other side of the pond call it. Thank goodness for Google is all I can say. But now I come to think of it...what's the "jelly" in "peanut butter and jelly sandwiches"? Is it Jam? Crap! I'm gonna have to Google that too. BA :)

Rusty?  Did someone say rusty?  Did you say rusty?!  I beg to differ, BAx, and here are three reasons why:

Reason 1:  But our daughter is fearless.  Our daughter is the very best of us.  Love that.  What every parent wants--that their child will have the best qualities and that the worst somehow pass them by.

Reason 2:   You bend down and open your hand.  The now mostly squished petals fall from her smaller hand and you wonder where on earth you can save them. So achingly sweet.

Reason 3:   I watch you dump the water into the play pool.  You look down for a few seconds before reaching into the pool.  I realise that some of the petals from your hair have fallen into the water.  The gig is up.  You're running your hands through your unruly hair and you smile as you discover the other petals.  You tuck the into the front pocket of our jeans and I know you'll be wondering how you can save them. Those petals again!  That visual hits me in the heart in such a good way.

Thank you, my friend from across the pond, for this lovingly delicious treat. : - *

Author's Response: Nan - you are very welcome. So glad you liked it...I made it sweet just for you. :)
