The idea of Jim and Pam having a cookie-baking tradition at Christmas just blew me away! Your writing about this family-centered Jim and Pam is so sweet and interesting -- it makes for a wonderful back-story -- and Heaven knows we need it this season! Thanks for continuing to write such lovely stories.

Author's Response: Thank you so much. The cookie baking tradition was an idea that more awake had left me with and I'm so happy that you enjoyed it. We definitely need more Jim and Pam this season, and I'm hoping that once Jenna comes back, that they'll be back to being them again, regardless of what's going around them. I'm hoping to continue these, though it's been a struggle, but I'll try my best. So glad you enjoyed it! Thanks for taking the time to let me know.

Bonus chapters are the best and this one didn't disappoint! Thanks you so much for taking your time to give us this little xmas gift! I hope you are having a good holiday yourself.

luvs, D

Author's Response: Thanks! Sorry it's been so long since I've been around these parts. The new year did not start off all that great and I've been all over the place. I (think) I'm back, not that I plan on disappearing lol Thanks so much for the lovely review, it means so much to know one of my favorite writers likes what I'm doing with my stories. Hugs and hugs! :) luvs to you too, D :)

Guh, what a perfect holiday ficlet. Thank you so much for taking the time to write this for us. I look forward to each and every chapter you write, and I dunno, seeing them at home like that, and sharing Christmas with the Halperts, that's kinda special :)
Your Cece is adorable, and I want to steal her. Them making cookies as a family and not worrying about the mess they have to clear up is JUST how i see them. And Jim begging Pam to let him give her his Christmas present? That was so perfectly in character. I could totally picture him bouncing on his feet like "PLEASE???""
I could go on and on and point out everything I loved about this, but I'll be here forever :)

Author's Response: Thank you! I wish there were another way to say that, because I really can't thank you enough. :) I'm so happy that you liked this chapter, and I'm so happy that you liked the gifts and Cece and all that I incorporated into it. I really love writing little Cece, and it's so nice to see that she's being enjoyed even though we really haven't seen her interact with her parents at all. Thank you so much again and again and again. :)

I don't get around to reviewing very often (I'm hoping that will change), but I wanted to let you know that I look forward to all of your stories. I loved the bonus Christmas chapter and can envision the Halpert family spending a holiday just like this. Thanks so much for continuing to write such great stories!

Author's Response: I'm so happy to hear that you like these and the other stories too! It means so much to me. Thank you for taking the time to review, I really appreciate it. These were fun to write, I'm glad you liked them! :)

Thank you for taking the time to write this! (And especially for including the lights and cookies) :) It took me the whole train ride home from work to read it, and I probably looked crazy because I was smiling so much. The thought of Jim getting Pam that terrace that she has always wanted is so perfect. We only get very short glimpses of their love for each other now, so it's so sweet to read about Jim surprising her and her reaction. And about them being "kissy, kissy." (haha Cece was adorable)

Author's Response: Thank YOU so much for the lovely ideas! I'm so sorry it took so long to get to replies, it's been one thing after another since the New Year started, but I hope I'm back on track now and feeling like myself again. I really wish we'd get more of them together, but I'm hoping that was just because Jenna was limited with what she could do while pregnant and now when she comes back they'll be back to being "them" again. At least I can HOPE it, right? I'm so happy that you liked this and thank you again so much for the lovely ideas! :)

Very merry Christmas, Danielle! Thank you for this big, beautiful, delicious bonus chap. It simply bursts with holiday joy. I'm glad that it wasn't perfect, that Cece was afraid of Santa. It makes it that much more real.

Author's Response: I'm so sorry it's taken forever to reply to reviews. I figured a little baby like Cece's age would be scared of Santa, especially after seeing so many photo's of kids screaming when they meet Santa at the malls that were posted on those fun time waster sites. Thanks so much, for everything! :)

Another great chapter. I liked all the kid interaction in this one. A christmas bonus chapter would be nice ;).

Author's Response: Thank you very much. I'm super worried about the kid interaction so it's really great to see that you thought it was good. And thanks so much for the lovely compliment on the chapter. I'm happy you enjoyed it. I'm thinking out the Christmas chapter now so hopefully it'll be ready in a day or two. Thanks for the review, it's really very much appreciated! Happy Holidays! xx

I loved this chapter! I really like the idea of Jim and Pam keeping Phillip's birth under wraps until after the cameras leave. Christmas bonus chapter? Yes, Please!

Author's Response: Thanks! It was the only logical reason I could come up with, and I'm so happy you thought it sounded believable! Thanks so much for the recommendation too! That's so awesome of you. I'm thinking about the Christmas chapter now, I may give it a try in a little bit. I have the idea in my head, just having a problem executing it. Thanks so much for this, I really appreciate it! Happy Holidays! xx

I think you did just great reconstructing a difficult episode! I would rather think of this version of reality than the actual episode. The only thing that would make this story better would be if Jim didn't go to the office party. But you made a nice choice --by giving Pam some time to herself -- I'm cool with it. God knows, Moms need time to themselves.....:-)Thank you for writing this chapter.....:-)

Author's Response: This is so true, but I couldn't make him not be at the party since I'm sticking with canon more or less (I'm a little off on the birth of Phillip) But I'm glad you liked it. I figured, if he's busting his butt at home all the time then Pam would be okay with him taking a night off for himself just for a little bit. And you bet ya, moms definitely need some alone time too. Thank you so much for taking the time to review, it really means a lot! Happy Holidays! xx

Thanks for putting a positive spin on the biggest downer of the episode. So the five years would be from their first date in season three. The ten years - from when they met (whoever you think was their first)? My thoughts have always been Pam was there first but I know there's a version where Jim was there first.

Author's Response: You're welcome. I couldn't stop rationalizing it so it had to be written. Yes, 5 years since they started dating, 10 years since they met. I'm in the Pam worked there first camp because when she says, "I walked you to your desk and I said remember this moment, because you'll never go back to a time when you didn't meet your deskmate Dwight." It's such a beautiful scene that it stayed with me and became how it happened, even if Greg Daniels can't make up his mind of which one was there first lol Thanks for the review, I really appreciate it! Happy Holidays! xx

Danielle, this was simply wonderful. You tied all the loose ends up in a pretty bow--perfect explanations. *chants* Christ-mas chap! Christ-mas chap!

Author's Response: Thanks so much, Nan! I couldn't stop myself from rationalizing it over and over again, so I had to write it down. I was a little annoyed that they didn't mention Phillip on the show (two L's or one, I can't get it right lol) I'm glad you liked this and yay 5 stars! THAT means so much to me, you don't even know! Thank you so much! Happy Holidays! xx

Pam making Jim keep quiet about Pirrup was AMAZEBALLS. I could totally see her wanting to do that too. And Cece saying her first sentence - and it being about how pretty the flowers were? That was super cute. I say this every week, but I honestly LIVE for your post episode ficlets

Author's Response: Thanks! I was grouchy a little bit about them not saying anything on the show about it. So my mind wouldn't leave me alone about it and kept rationalizing it, so I'm glad I came up with a believable scenario for it. I think Cece is slowly becoming a little girly girl, and I want her to be sweet and just be a normal kid, so hopefully that's how I'm showing her. Sometimes she'll yell and be angry but most of the time she's pleasant and loves her momma and daddy. I always say this but thank you so much for all of the support, babes! It means a whole lot to me. Happy Holidays! xx

You made me almost cry with this latest update. My displeasure with the show is no secret and then reading this absoultely wonderful scenerio made me so sentimental for the JAM that I love so much. Thank you for keeping them alive with this story. I may not be tuning in on Thursdays but look forward to your take each week.

Author's Response: Thanks so much, KH. I hope you'll reconsider and give the show a chance again. I know it's no fun watching Ed Helms make constipated faces and what not, but maybe you can give it a watch every now and again? Anyways, thanks so much for the kind review, sorry I made you almost cry! I love this couple, far more than I've ever loved any other tv couple before. It's why I keep writing (I keep going back and forth on whether to continue, but somehow I keep on doing it, call me crazy). I'm happy that at least you'll still be reading. Happy Holidays! xx

I loved your story -- I think it could be post-Christmas Wishes, too. I'll think of this story as the real Jim/Pam story and that will make me feel better. :-) 'Times, they are a-changin' -- but I like the "good old days" better. I like the Jim that likes to be with Pam -- just like in your story. Thanks for writing. :-)

Author's Response: Thanks very much! I'm very happy to see that you enjoyed this. I'd like to think that Jim always likes to be with Pam, no matter what we see on the show. I hadn't been so sure about doing one for Christmas Wishes or continuing with this beyond the ones that are already here, but I've been re-inspired and have decided to keep up with it, at least for one more chapter. I'm hoping to post an update today with a new one shot. I hope you'll enjoy that one as well! :)

Although I didn't watch Thursday's show I loved this chapter. I felt bad for Pam and the day she had, but was happy Jim came home understanding and was ready to help out.

Author's Response: I'm happy to hear that you liked the chapter, without having watched the episode. I really liked it, and while I missed seeing Pam, I thought they did a good job of incorporating the whole cast. Yeah, in my mind, while he'd rather not have to deal with a mess to clean up and screaming children, it comes with the territory and I think Jim's the kind of guy that would readily help out his wife with things. :) Thanks, and hope you'll enjoy the next one too!

Wow, Cece was quite a handful that day. Well this chapter sure showed what great parents the Halperts are. I laughed when Cece cried as soon as Jim left, oh well, she'll get use to it.

Author's Response: :) Thanks again!

Author's Response: LOL Yes, she was a handful. I don't want her to be a diva all the time, but I thought it was realistic that she'd have a hard time splitting the attention of her parents. I've seen babies cry hysterically the second one parent leaves the room - my sister did that when she was a baby whenever my mom would walk out of the room, so I thought it was something Cece would do after the day she had. I do think that Jim and Pam are great parents, and I think they really adore their kids. Thanks so much for reading and for taking the time to review! Hope to hear from you again! :)

Thursday's show reminded me a lot of the older seasons and I like that a lot. I can relate to Pam in this, as I too had two children under three at home with me. It's hard work and you conveyed that and had them behaving just as I could see them on the show.

Author's Response: Thank you for that reassurance. I don't have kids, but I've babysat and have little cousins, and while they can be good 80% of the time, there are days when as a mother, you just want to tear your hair out. I think it's an adjustment, especially since Cece is so young. I think they'll get into a groove and things will settle down. Thanks so much for letting me know I had it right! :) I'm so happy to see you're enjoying these, and this season. I'm liking it too, except for Gettysburg, I'm liking it.

Danielle, if we only could get them to film your stories instead of the actual episodes, I'd be a happy man!

Author's Response: Wow, thanks so much! That's so nice of you to say! I worry about these being not right, so that comment of yours right there just helped ease my mind. :) Thank you!

Last night's episode was hilarious, as was this chapter. Your continuity is also very much appreciated, it's like one story of little stories, does that make sense? But it's nice to see things mentioned on the show or in other chapters followed up. Like Jim's high blood pressure.
Jim's guilt about Pam's parent's was so beautiful. I can imagine him still feeling as though he was a tiny bit responsible, even if he wasn't.

Cece is such a little monkey, but you're writing her just as I imagine her to be. She isn't a naughty little girl, but she's 2 and is competing for her parent's attention.

I really do look forward to your take on each episode - and not only is it now Office Thursday, it is also Indigo & Crimson Thursday :)

Author's Response: Indigo and Crimson Thursday, awww, you're so cute. The more I worry that these are all the same and getting redundant, the more the thoughts come to me. I always write Cece as the perfect child, so it was a challenge to me to make her a little bit of a diva in this chapter. But with any baby, they're jealous of their sibling at least once in a while. I won't make it a trend though, since I don't think given Jim and Pam's temperament that they would have a baby that throws tantrums every single day. I'm glad you're enjoying the continuity, I think it's important to do, so they can all have an underlying backstory of sorts. I do need to change it up a little so I'm thinking of something new and different for Christmas. :) Thanks so much as always, it really means so much to have you in my corner!

I enjoyed last night's ep, too, Danielle, and I like how you've expanded upon it.

"He told the truth. It was his truth." Love that. I whole-heartedly believe that Jim would be just as you've portrayed him here. The continuity from chap to chap is great and greatly appreciated--from little things like Cece's words to big things like Pam's parents' divorce and Jim's high BP. Well done, as always.

Author's Response: I watched Thursday's episode again, and liked it even more. So far, Gettysburg is the only one I'm not in love with. The continuity is important for me, especially since I'm keeping these one shots all in the title. I feel like there's so little of their story being shown on screen that there has to be more going on. I'm hoping that something else besides fluff comes to me for the Christmas episode. Especially without Pam there in these episodes, I want to make sure it's enough but not too much. More of this soon, thanks so much as always for the support, it really means more to me than I can express. :)
