More tearing up!! I love that Jim thinks to update Pam on the situation. He's so...great.

As a mom, I was thinking that I'd never call Roy's mom in that situation, but then I thought more about it. The two moms have probably seen each other a number of times over the years and had dinners together and such. It makes sense that they'd talk, and that Helene would be the one to start that.

Author's Response: Yeah I figured Roy and Pam have been living as though they're married for several years at this point, what with the shacking up and the very-long engagement. I also envision Helene as being just a very warm person who loves almost everybody (more Shannon Cochran in Season 2 than what's her name in Seasons 5+). Plus, Pam tells her mom everything, so it seemed to make sense.

I love the use of the mug shot. Jim finding the article is a perfect way for him to get background info!

I clicked on MTT's twitter link to check out this story, and had to login to MTT for the first time in a long, long time so I could review this. Kudos. I'm only on the 1st chapter, but I'm enjoying it. Although I did tear up a bit, so is "enjoy" the right word? ;)

I'm glad to see it's complete. Now I know how I'll spend the next bit of time. I'm so glad I don't have to be anywhere for a while!

Author's Response: I'm so super flattered when people say they logged in/created an account just to review. It means more than you'll ever know!

This chapter made my eyes leak.

Author's Response: Thank you! I really wish I could scrub this story from my mind a la Eternal Sunshine and read it with a fresh set of eyes. Maybe I'll spend a year forgetting it existed and come back and get the same perspective! :)

I love that you posted this story already completed. Not gonna lie; you made me cry. Enjoyed living through this trauma with them. Pam's first words were especially sweet. Thank you for all the heart you poured into this.

Author's Response: All of my stories are completed before I publish them. Kind of a pet peeve I guess, I abhor cliffhangers myself and I can't imagine doing that to anyone else! It also just doesn't work with my writing style. I like making callbacks and I'm really big on internal consistency, so I'm constantly thinking of something really cool in chapter 12 that requires me to go back and add a paragraph in Chapter 1... stuff like that.

I love this. So beautifully written with poignant emotion and drama, with the right amount of humor in just the right moments. This is a new favorite of mine, and this will most definitely read again.

Author's Response:

Dang you're a fast reader! Thank you so much for the feedback :)

I'm on the lookout now for a new story idea. My inspiration has run dry. And that's what's goin' on!
