I adore the way their names came out, how sweet and intriguing! And I think it is the simplicity of the life-path that is most compelling. As the reader, you can see yourself doing all of these things from chat rooms to awkward proms and even the space we all went through with nicknames or different spellings of our names.
Well done :)

Author's Response: Thanks. I had to get them to Pam and Jim eventually. Also start them down the path that will take them from these teenagers to the adults we see in the show. Still there's always something compelling about our formative years. Things that will always stay with us.

Great story. Love the time switch and how it all ties in to canon events. D.B 🤣🤣 It's like Pam and Jim were always in tandem with each other even before they knew each other. I'm excited to see where this goes

Author's Response: There's quite a bit of backstory within canon to help flesh out their pasts, to a degree. But yes, for the most part Jim and Pam think in tandem. When their fears and doubts don't get in the way that is.

I was a little confused at the beginning of this chapter - I thought I accidentally clicked on SW. I figured it was a video game a few paras in - I wasn't much of a gamer and not familiar with either game mentioned - itake it they were big at the time.

So I now see how short-lived the connection between Jaimie and Morgan were and liked how they both became Jim and Pam - a great time to reinvent and make the change.

Now I do know how/why Pam may not recognize Jim when they wind up at DM together. I am curious will Jim remember Morgan/Pam?

Very sweet that Jim takes his sister to prom. And you know how I love a good origin story - so the story of how Roy and Pam's song became their song was a nice touch. Roy doesn't seem so bad her but his brother is a capital L.

Nice job as always.

Author's Response: Star Fox 64 is still a great game. Sorry for the confusion about this one and SW (kind of). As for if they'll remember each other when they get to DM, well, we'll get there. Jim taking his sister was a fun thing to put in there. Roy probably had his good moments so yeah we had to put a few in there from time to time.

This was more 90s nostalgia trip than horrible 90s flashback, but still – this tale of how Jamie and Morgan never end up connecting again is painfully plausible in pre-social media times.
Kenny is just… the worst. I’m looking forward to seeing the backstory play out with Roy’s family here. And I’m glad to see a slightly more positive take on Roy. I do think he really *has* to be decent at some point in their relationship for it to make sense that Pam keeps him around so long.

Author's Response: I had to come up with some reason as to why Jamie and Morgan couldn't re-connect and that seemed to fit the bill. Yeah Roy may have his redeeming moments. Not so with Kenny and I'll die on that mountain.

Aww, Fancy New Jamie. I love that.

Plus, a Meemaw shoutout, I don't know what that made me smile but it did.

Okay, we've got Jim and Pam now... now we wait. Can't wait to see what happens next!

Author's Response: Thanks. There's just far to many good lines in the show to not use them from time to time. Next chapter is coming, life gets in the way of writing sometimes, but hopefull it'll be up before the weekend.

Ooohhh yes girl! Girl? Guy? Either way, I love where this is going! So well written and true to character, and I love fics that feature them as younger versions of themselves in one way or another. Can’t wait to read more!

Author's Response: Thank you. For the record I'm a guy. I'm glad you like it considering I've I've done the majority of my writing at the wee hours of the morning. I'm a paramedic and work nights and so I tend to do my story research and writing between 911 calls.

And now they're Jim and Pam. Hooray! Of course, they'll never find each other if they keep changing names...

Author's Response: Don't worry there won't be anymore changing of names anytime soon.
