Not knowing what the teapot card says is DEFINITELY part of the appeal. Also my jaw literally dropped when he took the letter haha. I get far too into these two!

I'm actually glad you gave us only the Pam card. I liked what you did with his. And good on them for dealing with Karen.

As much as I like them to find out about their mutual feelings via fight or hard talk, there's something endearing in confessions via letters. It makes me warm and fuzzy and sends me so many Jane Austen vibes that I feel an urge to put on a bonnet and drop a few tears (in fact, I feel a lump in my throat reading Pam's letter, so I guess that counts).
And I like it so much that they didn't jump into relationships immediately but wanted to make things right. Just awww!
Thank you so much for writing this story!

You know it's a good story when all I can do is just grin and stare at the wall for a minute. I reread the whole story just now, and ugh, NLM. You captured them so beautifully. the awkwardness they had ever since Jim came back, but still being able to fall back into their banter so easily at times. And then Jim reading her letter and giving her the teapot letter. UGH. AND THEN THE KISS. I'll never be over it. I hope you post the last chapter soon!!

Lovely to see an update with this one. It's all very sweet. Pam's letter is on point. I love that him reading hers is what triggers him to give her the Teapot Note. And as it usually does in an AU, Pam reading it is what finally gets them completely together. Great fun to see that especially with kisses in the snow. Hope to see the wrap up soon.

I'm pumped you've come back to this one... and just in time for Christmas! Like Jim and Pam getting together, worth the wait.

I *really* like this interpretation of the sequence of events post-Casino Night - we don't see nearly enough fic that leans into the idea that Jim's departure was a necessary precondition to Pam calling it off with Roy.

I think having already written Pam's version of the teapot card was enough - and I love that his discovery of hers and him finding the teapot leads to her finally receiving his, and the grace note of them having used the exact same signature line. It's all just very sweet and very them. They're operating on the same wavelength even when they're not speaking, and it ends up getting them to where they want to be.

NLM! I adore this story! I am so, so glad to see an update! And on Christmas Eve no less! This chapter was delightful. I love that Jim dug out the teapot card & that they’d signed off in the same way to one another. The whole thing had me brimming with Christmas joy!
