Aw, man. The excerpts from his inner monologue while talking with Karen are great. The awkwardness of him running into her is great. The idea of Pam not being able to sleep because she knows he's in turmoil is great. But what I really love is how quickly Pam turns back to joking about having to hide the body, because it really wouldn't be Jim and Pam without at least a little note of fun.

I was looking for a particular quote in this fic for my review and I realized that I particularly like all of this fic! Seriously. I've read it at least 5 times.
Your writing is just lovely.

I love this fic so much. It's all so in-character and entirely believable. Here are a few of my favorite things...
-Karen saying, "I followed you here, Jim. She let you run." uggggghhhhhhhh
-The whole VS moment, with him calling out her hideous robe and the flash of lime green in his memory
-Jim knowing that it was seventeen steps cause he walked it one weekend. I'm not crying...
-That ending was so good.
Thank you for this little treat.

I can't imagine the more perfect combination - the heart-wrenching angst that ended with fluffy happiness. Just perfect.
Thank you!

This felt happy to me! I loved the exchange where she admitted that she was awake because she was worried about him. That was just lovely. I really loved the beginning, too, with the stop lights and the things Karen had said (all of which I could 100% believe) and his journey across town to get to Pam. I also loved the middle and the end. So basically, I loved it all.

Well it had a happy ending and it was *very* romantic. You can feel the longing they both have, and the fear of not wanting be the first one to say what they truly feel. I liked it. The canon version of that episode left a lot to be desired. This helps.

Also, Coley bullied you? I'm shocked. I thought she'd be too busy writing mafia Jim. ;-)

Lovely story. Lots of heart-wrenching lines I relate to all too well. How do you manage to encompass so much emotion into such few lines?

This was amazing. I've never heard that song before but now I love it lol. I wish this is what had actually happened in the show, or at least that we got to see a confessional type scene like this in the show.

Really good job, I loved it!

I think this was plenty happy. At least it made me plenty happy and they end up in a good place, ya know? Lovely writing as always.

I feel seen. This song is my jam. And now I can never not listen to it & think of this.
“It’s hard for me to know that...you moved on when I had finally caught up.” Damn this was a good line, I mean, the whole thing is wonderful, but this line just made it for me. So great.

Something happier? Getting Jim and Pam together sooner than canon makes me happy. There's always going to be a certain amount of angst and recovery with just about any story that's near canon. They put each other through a lot so it's going to take a lot to get past all that.

However this was a great way to do it. A lot of very real feelings and honesty from each of them. That's always great to see. I really like the way they reconnected here with their discussion. Great dialogue between both of them before they connect in other ways.

Lovely imagery through it all, but you're always great about that.
