It may be a filler chapter, but it's also a very nice and needed break for Pam. She just endured a brutal time on the witness stand. Taking some time off and away from all that is a great idea. I also get that she might have a few flashbacks here. After having to remember all she did on the stand it would stand to reason that memories would come to the fore. However Jim is there to show her that her story is not over, it's still being written, and she's found a true love not the perversion of love she had before. Nice work.

Well, it may have been a filler chapter, but honestly it's a nice break for Pam (and to a lesser extent for Jim), and a very sweet moment. A glimpse of the future beyond all the courtroom drama.

It’s a sweet filler chapter. Nice to read that Pam is getting a glimpse of what a happy, normal life could be like.
