"they'd just befriended each other" - I like this moment very much!
And also, the prank itself. Maybe, Jim and Pam owed Katy dinner for making her dealing with Dwight, but, at the same time, Katy would sell some of her purses, so... it compensated some of her discomforts :)
Thank you!

Author's Response: :) They will get dinner...later. Because Pam and Jim shouldn't have a third wheel, should they ;)

Ah, I really like the little hint here of Katy actually being a pretty savvy saleswoman (also something that doesn't really get explored on the show, but: she does get Dwight to walk away a purse!) Speaking of, their little prank on Dwight is excellent (as is Jim squeezing her hand under the counter), and Dwight's reaction and the 'make room you idiots' is hilarious. This is such a joy to read!

Author's Response: Thank you! I think she's pretty skilled, yeah--even if she is intended to be a Pam foil in canon.

Wonderful as always. Even with that subtle hint of Pam's previous relationship and the yelling. So much different and for the better this time around. Really like that she's hit it off with a Katy who's no threat to her or Jim. Really love that she can just slide into the partner in crime role so effortlessly. Delighfullness all around.

Author's Response: Thank you! I like them being automatic partners in AUs, so I decided to do it here!

Ah, it's not a Katy visit if Dwight doesn't end up going home with a purse. In fairness, in this scenario Dwight should know better. That purse is WAY too materialistic for Red!Jim, even if it IS in fashion for men.

Author's Response: Dwight should know that--but he's too focused on his singular goal and not on analyzing Jim. The more fool he!
