Ha! This was great. Nice work on the pacing, and I really like your Erin and Gabe! also, that mug is atrocious but I don’t need to tell you that :)

Author's Response: The tooth mug will rule us all one day. I'm glad you enjoyed it... and Erin and Gabe! Tough characters to write, just because they're so cartoony. Thanks for taking the time to read and review!

Finally have the time to review this work of art.

I always thought the talking head of Erin's you posted in discord was genius (and still do) but then you added all the other backstory and the Jim and Pam element and it turned it into something better than I ever imagined. I'm glad the pestering brought about this masterpiece. It was so perfect!

Author's Response: Thank you so much! I feel like I probably should not be encouraging the pestering, but I'm really glad you liked it! Thanks for taking the time to review!

That reveal had me howling lmaooooo

Also, I would like a mug like this to horrify my roommates. Sipping on hot chocolate with marshmallows out of... The Tooth Mug.

Author's Response: Me too. Sadly, the part of the backstory I used was the disappearing Etsy seller. The tooth mug may, in fact, be a cursed object. Thanks for reviewing! Glad you enjoyed it.

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!!
I mean, AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!
And I recalled that you said that we would be disappointed???? HOW COULD IT POSSIBLE???
Okay, my pinky's tired from pressing shift, so... that's just great. So witty, and so in characters, and there are so many fantastic moments! 'Sabre truly values employees efficiency...' and 'Team Reception' and THE ETSY SELLER THAT DISAPPEARED WITHOUT TRACE!!!! But my favorite was this little gem:
'JIM:
(bleeped)!'
I just love this story so very much! Thank you so much for FINALLY publishing it!
P.S. Gabe and his mugs reminded me very much of this painting: https://www.studiorayyan.com/the-favorite

Author's Response: For the record, the Etsy seller disappearing without a trace is part of the real Tooth Mug's backstory, so I can take no credit for it. But Jim's bleeped moment of surprise is a personal favorite of mine too, so I am tickled you liked that one. And I'm just happy overall you enjoyed this and that it lived up to your expectations! Thanks for taking the time to review.

Gabe would've absolutely loved that painting. And Pam definitely would have painted it after one of her mug-induced nightmares.

Oh where to start with this one? I mean this is just a gem of a story. You portrayed Erin being un-nerved perfectly. Gabe being creepy in a way that could have fit into any episode. (Seriously what does sweet lovable Erin see in that guy?) And Jim and Pam perfectly too.

Pam giving matronly advice and Jim coming in with a prank instead was great. The reveal of the serial killer mug and Erin's reaction was spot on. Pam getting back at Jim, and her revelation that Izzy can get those mugs so easily was just *chef's kiss.*

Seriously you knocked this one out of the park. Great job.

Author's Response: I really have no idea what makes them tick, which is among the reasons why this is set late in their relationship: didn't want to have to figure them out. The Erin-Gabe relationship is either completely baffling or genuinely dark. This was a lot of fun to write. I have no idea why it took so long. Really glad you enjoyed this one, man. Thank you!

This was worth the wait.
I'm so glad there is cover art to help illustrate just how completely GABE this mug is - what happened to him as a child to make his the way he is?

So, my very first thought was how old is Cece in this episode- but it all became very clear by the end.

I like how Pam gives Erin the advice do the mature thing and that Jim sees an opportunity to do a prank thing - but with good reason.

With the super prank team to Erin's rescue it was bound to work - or was it. I was afraid the mug was going to be indestructible - glad that is actually wasn't but then when the replacement mug showed up I was thinking maybe it would've have been better had it been (serial killers versus teeth - maybe Jim was right) (this however is coming from a mom who has a jewelry box full of her children's teeth that are situated not far from the earrings I put on every day).

The kicker was Pam's prank on Jim -which he completely deserved - blaming a baby instead of having an adult conversation.

And as usually your network notes were as sharp as ever (lame pun but intended nonetheless)

Well done my friend.

Author's Response: Yeah, it's *very* telling how few Gabe fics there are and how many of them turn him into a criminal, but it truly is a perfect Gabe mug. The guy who constantly exposes his girlfriend to plotless horror movies in 100% going in for this.

Yeah... this was inspired a lot by the ultimate Gabe-Erin breakup, in which Pam gives Erin adult advice that backfires and Jim somewhat rudely opts out of the conversation... he's got reason to prank, but there's also more affection for Erin from Pam, I think.

I mean, this prank was well designed, they covered their tracks, but it *is* always a risk that it's a genuine cursed object. I for the record am with Jim 100%, but I think they're both pretty rough for Erin. And my mom saved all of our first lost teeth!

For the record: I am not 100% sure Pam is right about Jim lying about this, and it occurs to me now, it completely changes the meaning of the fic whether he is or not. Is this Jim *again* ducking an adult conversation? Or is this Pam doing the exact same thing Jim does? Neat.

The network notes are increasingly becoming self-owns, I'm afraid. The next cold open should actually be cold open-sized though!

Thank you, and thanks for taking the time to review!

That’s my best attempt at a keyboard smash on an iPhone because I cannot put into words how PERFECT and FUNNY and PERFECT this is

I just—

Sir! The audacity to write this piece of perfection about a thing that I own and make it so hilarious and make me giggle like an idiot and want to go get said mug out of the cabinet to tell it thank you—how dare you? Please, keep daring. I’m going to send you pictures of every weird thing I own and make you write a rejected cold open about it.

Ugh. This was so so perfect. I have to go read it again. I love it, love you, love the tooth mug.

Author's Response: Yayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy. I'm glad this one delivered and was worth the wait!

Thank YOU for allowing me to spread the gospel of the tooth mug as it deserves! And please pass on my thanks to the mug as well, it really deserves all the credit for being such a wonderful muse. Also, please tell me you own more objects as fundamentally creative and amazing and slightly terrifying as that.

Awwwwwww, you're making me blush. <3
