Oh Michael....... you always have to ruin things, don't you?

Max, I loved Gabby's technique while handling Michael here. I hope we get to see this in the future from Pam lol!

Author's Response:

Was there ever a doubt he'd get kicked out?

"You can't always see what's in front of you." Head of the nail, meet hammer. Seriously, could there be any more apt sentence for early season Pam? In both of her relationships. Roy isn't there in any meaningful way while Jim is. Great line.

Loved Gabby treating Michael like the overgrown child he is. Though part of me wonders if it's only Michael that earned the third strike, not Pam. Seemed like Gabby was glad to have her around too.

Though if they are now both out on their own, it makes me really curious as to what they're going to do until they catch up with their own timeline.

Author's Response:

Glad you mentioned that - if there was a point to be made in this chapter - that was a big one. Hello Pam.

I actually had more trouble than I thought I would coming up with Michael's three strikes. You'd think it would be easy but I had to find offenses big enough to anger a person as patient as Gabby. Hope they rang true.

Lots to come- stay tuned and thanks again for the review.

Michael is such an overgrown little kid, isn’t he! That OC stuff was fine, enough to break things up a bit without getting boring. Nice work as always.

Author's Response:

Why thank you - and yes, yes he is. But a loveable kid. Just don't want him in your house too long. ANd when he erases Lost he's gotta go - except maybe he knew something....that show's finale was no Office finale.

Anyway, thanks for the review.

"Michael’s three strikes didn’t take long." I knew from this line I was going to love this chapter. Poor Pam. Poor Gabby. And maybe a little bit poor Michael? Honestly, two of these I can kind of forgive him for, but really, Michael, mocking the appearance of their children? You thought that was going to go over well? (I love the note that Michael makes it clear to Pam he was behaving way worse than Randall described.) You did a lot of fun work with him here - the description of him trying to hold it together while Pam got credit for the gifts that HIS money bought was perfect.

For all of Gabby's handle on him, Pam could've told her that was a lost cause. I love her exchange with Pam about him not being a kid: "Isn't he though?"

Wow. Imagine being able to go back in time and predict what was happening on Lost in Season 2. Forget the lottery, Pam should've found a way to monetize *that.*

Very interesting with Gabby's stories about her and Randall's marriage, and the parallels with Pam's own life with a partner with zero interest in doing anything for her happiness. Given how much she seems to know about Michael, I wonder if Gabby maybe knows enough about Pam and Jim to be doing this on purpose...

Author's Response:

I mentioned in another response I saw the scene with Pam getting the gift credit as a mix between his trying to hold back the TWSS in Sexual Harassment and the Seinfeld BIg Salad episode. Glad you liked it and all the Michael stuff. The three strikes were actually harder than I thought to come up with a write...glad you felt they worked.

Now remember, she's only 2 weeks back - not a big leap in Lost time. Not sure why Gabby was so far behind? She had plenty of spare time, right. Here's my theory (on my own story - but it's still just conjecture) So while she had plenty of time, Randall did not and this was a show they watched together. Randall was good at picking up the nuances and had lots of theories. Gabby always had to go back after they watched together to see the things he talked about. Kind of like when a podcast mentions something and you're like  - wow didn't catch that.

The episode she was watching was from November but that one she'd seen, this was a rewatch to catch the things Randall noticed. The one(s) Michael erased were ones being held for them to watch together. Lost forever now (or at least until the reruns and syndication).

Hmm, could it be or does Gabby just have a good, healthy marriage and Pam just has no role model of that? Hmmmm.

Thanks again for your review.

Michael needing to take credit for the donuts reminded me of George Costanza and the big salad hahaha

* Pam didn’t exactly think of what they were filming as groundbreaking or life-altering. It was a documentary about a paper company. Pretty basic stuff if you asked her, but then again, she wasn’t a television exec or documentarian, so what did she know.*

Really like this take on how Pam feels about the documentary. I always imagine they (except Jim, and Michael obviously) sort of forget about the cameras sometimes.

Always enjoy Pam interacting with female characters, she needs more friends.

Ooh, a Brian mention!

I can’t blame Gabby for kicking Michael out. I’d be pissed too if I missed Lost. Although what did Pam do??? She could have stayed at least!

Author's Response:

in my head that scene was a mix of him holding in the TWSS in sexual harassment and the Seinfeld scene - so you are right on there.

This was pretty early on with the film crew there and it must have been a bit weird still.

I'm glad you liked that - agreed - kind of why I created her, an older, wiser friend (that's not her mother).

Yeah, not a show to miss back then.

Thanks as always for reviewing.
