I just listened to this song this morning after recently rereading and you have done such Jam justice to illustrating this awesome Ed Sheeran song! I love that Jim tries to do an English accent because our Galway Girl Pam absolutely does fall in love with an Englishman! Such sweet Jam callbacks too: Office Olympics, the air high fives, the bird funeral, Pam’s Irish Center mural commission, and the Night Out pool game! You blended Jam so well into the bones of this song!

Per usual, you write their chemistry so well. Their eye contact, glances, gazes, and little touches, including Jim’s sexy thumb swipe of Pam’s song-specific drink off her lower lip is just divine! And I love where you fit in the “Gaelic ink” too!

I loved the dance floor chemistry and it seemed like they were doing a lot more than swaying!! The cab ride home, Pam asking Jim to walk him home was also perfect. I love that they just slip into Helene babysitting and the family life and your sweet explanation of Pam’s newfound Irish heritage. What a fun night for them! And then we slip back to Galway Girl with the Doritos and wine reference. In my mind this is set pre finale pre Austin, and I love this little glimpse into that sweet and romantic portion of their life when they realize that they are indeed each other’s home, wherever they are. I hope after they danced they had another nice night leading to an even better morning! So great! But everything you do always is, friend!

Just missed Ed Sheeran in town as he was here but I was at my family reunion— AND he showed up with Eminem!!! Next time! I love Ed Sheeran in concert and anywhere and this is so great! You can adapt another Ed Sheeran song to Jam whenever you want!!

Author's Response: Thank you so much, as always for your wonderful review. I love that you got literally every reference in the song! I think this is going to be my only Ed Sheeran fic I’m afraid (seeing as I don’t know many other songs 🤣) but I’m so happy you liked this! Thank you again!!

Judging the fact that you have tickets to see Ed Sheeran, but letting it slide.

Absolutely loved this so much, smiled the entire way through it. Now write me a long story about Irish Pam, I think I’m in love. Please.

I’ve had the desire to be a good beta today so I think you need to send me something quickly. I don’t think I can store this energy for another time.

Still the worst beta ever. Always your number one fan.

Author's Response: Still a terrible beta, but thank you for making me keep going with this one! I guess you're not so bad

Okay, this was ridiculously adorable and I can 100% picture Jim and Pam doing this. I also thought you did well planting enough seeds of what was actually happening to make the twist fair. Fun way to play with reader expectations - it's not just that they have a lot of shared traits with canon Jim and Pam, it's that they're literally canon Jim and Pam. And it's lovely to have them have this moment of reconnection after all the ugliness of Season 9. Feels like they needed it.

Hope you're enjoying your hamentashen...

Ah thank you so much! I'm happy you liked it and that you picked up on all the little bits I dropped too

 Hamantaschen were great. Must.Stop.Eating.Them.

Thanks for the review!

So, this was a ton of fun. It's a great music video and a great song too. I'll admit you had me going there for a bit. Thinking we're getting a British Jim and an Irish Pam. Still even thinking that it was super cute to see the way they were connecting at the bar. Pam playing fiddle or trying to dance a ceili were great images.

Since I was so heavily wrapped up in British Jim and Irish Pam, when they got back and Pam starts whispering to her Mom, I was like, kids? What kids? Does this Pam have kids she didn't talk to Jim about before inviting him to her apartment looking over Galway harbor? Then it clicked about the role play. Which made it really sweet. They're still having fun and making things interesting. Great job with this one.

Slainte!
