What a terribly perfect role for Jan here— though I know speech language pathologists aren’t terrible people, this clearly isn’t the person who can help Pam. I so feel for how little Pam tries sooo hard to make her words come out— and has to apologize when they don’t. What a tough place to be in! My heart aches for her! Fantastic chapter!
